    It's not a fix. Obviously.

But I'm convinced the penalty during the week isn't given at the other end in the same circumstance, and I'm not convinced that is either. In Europe, yes, it's 100% a penalty every single time. But proximity is taken into account in the UK leagues.

I just think Hearts are fighting a dollop of big team bias this week. We'll see how it ends up.

Clear as day penalty and hopefully sets us all up for a cracking second half!

no need to be a smart arse. It’s very harsh on the lad but letter of the law it’s a pen. Awful rule though, impossible to go in like that at close range and keep both hands right down by your sides.

It was a penalty, and I want Hearts to win.

The decision I'll be waiting on is if Johnston commits a foul in the second half to see what the ref does.

He has shouldered Steinwender in the head, then been booked for stopping a breakaway and on half time has run into a player after he played the ball. He must be in the last chance saloon, and the ball is in his area of the pitch a lot. No idea who would be the logical replacement for him if Celtic thought he was at risk.

Outside of that, Celtic had the first 5 minutes, but let Hearts slow it down for the next 25. Thought Celtic definitely grew into the game on the half hour and Hearts weren't in anyway dominant when they scored. They are giving Trusty acres of both time and space on the ball, and that might come back to haunt them.

He stopped the cross going into the six yard area with his hand and you think it is bias against Hearts that the ref gave the peno

Can Hearts only make one more (set of) substitutions now?

Hearts are defending well but I just have a feeling Celtic will have enough to get over the line. Poor match but considering what’s on the line it’s still a nervous watch

Celtic will get one more good chance. I'd be shocked if they didn't.

2 great chances in a minute.

Can't tell if Celtic have upped it slightly, or Hearts are withdrawing a bit.

I’m having ptsd hearing that siren when Hearts have set pieces. Reminds me of the Czech penalty shootout

That's a terrible call by the linesman.

    This will be given.

Linesman showing his true colours there, wtf sort of call was that 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,504 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

They could've done more in this game. Celtic haven't been great either, but they have the individual quality. That goal was pretty decent.

As bad a call as I've seen in quite a while. Looked wrong in real time too.

The only thing that can save Hearts now is if Wilfred Nancy was put in charge for added time

Well done Celtic. Delighted for MON

Celtic fans won’t rightly give a damn but that’s a disaster for the SPL. Happy for O’Neill but that’s about it.

Only fair to dock Celtic 3 points for that pitch invasion, awful stuff.......

How stupid are fans. Final whistle definitely hadn't gone.

Great photo though with the 3 lads running at an empty goal.

A poor poor league. That Hearts could not do anything much of note today against a woeful Celtic side says a lot

Probably will be decades, if ever, before we see a non Old Firm team win the league

Happy for MON, sad for Hearts. I like change. It’s the most I’ve ever watched Scottish football.
