The BMW E30

I could find no recent threads about the BMW E30 so here is a new one. Every car forum has to have a dedicated BMW E30 thread surely.

I was just looking at this add on Pistonheads and that price (£17k) seems very low for a 325i sport. I know its an automatic but are automatic E30's that lowly regarded - kind of interested because my E30 325i (SE) is an auto but I still love it anyway regardless. .

Manual would increase the value esp on E30, but the condition of that particular car might not be great in the flesh - something about it in the photos that looks a bit off. 156k miles also, a bit on the high side. Lovely body colour and wheels though (aside from the missing centre cap which is probably like hens teeth to get).

No - you can still order the centre caps at the BMW dealers once you give them your chassis number. Assuming the car is still fitted with the original BBS rims. At least I did a couple of years ago.

Agree, paint mismatch on the passenger front wing, and while the exterior looks good in the pictures the interior is tatty and tired and has the look of a car thats been prepared for sale with a good exterior clean and polish

Every car forum should have an E30 thread. Still my favourite car ever and I do have the pleasure of owning one - albeit a bog standard 4 door, 318 automatic. Simple but just joyful

Should have my own E30 back within a few weeks - going to collect it from the UK where its been having some jobs done. Planning on a spin down to Caffeine & Machine and the Cotswolds before coming home. Learnt to drive in one - they're a great allround package.

So since my TR6 is still not ready from its overhaul I had intended to take the Abarth 124 spider to the Le Mans Classic coming up soon but they tell me that car (a 2017 model) will be too new (can't be newer than 2005) to do the Le mans Lap which I booked so now I will have to take my BMW E30. Oh well at least I will have better storage space and it is about time I gave my E30 some real road time.

OK now problem sorted - I am being allowed to do the lap in the Abarth 124 after all so will be taking that car.
