Cow calved for me this morning - a suckler. Super big udder altogether. Calf sucked front 2 pops. Didn’t touch the back yet. I had no colostrum in the house this morning so had no option but to leave the calf suck her. She has been bloody before but think worse this year than last. Gave her a bottle of powder colostrum this evening not to block her up completely with blood. Am I ok to leave the calf suck away the bloody milk? One side is stale coloured. The other side is fresher red. All opinions welcome
