Cold northerly winds stick with us until the weekend but from next week changes in our weather pattern mean temperatures will slowly start to rise. At first just to usual spring time temperatures, but by the Bank Holiday weekend it could be quite warm for some.

As high pressure builds this weekend the weather will turn sunny and dry for much of the UK. Heatwave conditions are likely to be met across southern and central areas, and the hot and sunny weather is likely to challenge the May records for maximum and minimum temperature early next week.

Temperatures continue to soar over the bank holiday weekend. But will

It is an exceptionally hot start to the week as the sunshine and clear skies continue. There could be the odd light shower as some patchy cloud develops in places. Temperatures will begin to lower by the end of the week and the weekend will bring some wetter and windier weather.
