Bedclothes washed, dried on the line and back on the bed( without the usual struggle) within 3 hours..that's my contribution to society for the day.😁

Pub lunch with family. The lasagne there is so delicious. One of the few pubs now that don’t try drown it in garlic. Cooked and favoured to absolute perfection same with veggies and plenty of everything… 😋. Couldn’t even contemplate dessert.

    I mean… Yeah… I just love the little monsters.

I had a job interview last week. It's outside London where I live but with more money than I make now. Unusually, the very nice HR lady told me the salary and the first thought that came to mind was that I could afford a cat on that kind of money. I also said I liked the sound of Bristol because it has a pub full of cats. I also got quite excited during the second stage interview when a black cat walked across the screen.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

We went out for dinner to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday yesterday. Lovely location (when we went in, my 7 year old nephew said "Oooh, fancy!!" 😄), delicious food, and everything went well. 16 people and no drama!

Most of all, my mother had a great time with all her children and grandchildren, and that's what it's all about!

Haha there are tablets for that I am sure 🤣

I love cats except when the poo in my flower beds . Otherwise we have always had one until one of my kids got asthma and tested positive strongly for cat allergy.

He has grown out of it now so maybe the right time to get a little kitty ?

When elderly peoples attitude changes just with new activity and vibrancy around the place. Aunt in her late 80's (rural Ireland) she was saying she had "no energy and tired" on Saturday, slumped in the couch. Sometimes my cousins have a job to get her to move from the couch.

Sunday she went to pay respects to the family of a neighbour who died, she enjoyed meeting all the people she had not seen in a long time. Then when she came back home more family relations from abroad and other counties, were waiting to meet her when she came back. She was up on her feet talking to them all, her stick had to be found and everything. Telling them she was "tired from talking" up at the neighbours house earlier on. While still talking….

decided to overhaul my tablet out of complete boredom at about 2am.

Ninjad a couple of apps I’m not using, old photos and screenshots too….updated all apps to the newest versions and finally updated the system software. First go at doing the system software update took forever about 25 minutes over a fast connection and crashed about 80% in but restarted automatically and downloaded successfully, so all is well… everything is running smoothly again … actually better since the update….

I found both series of Homefront on YT, I hadn't seen it since it was first shown in the early 1990s. I still love it as much as I did back then, and Kyle Chandler is/was sooo handsome!

Now, if I could find a way of getting rid of the double, unskippable ads that turn up every 4 mins, I'd be on 7th Heaven.

I went to a musical over the weekend and brought my son.

I went because I knew one of the actors, but was fearful of meeting the person afterwards, and having to lie about the performance, even though the chances would be low as he didn’t know I was there.

    Anyway, needn’t have worried as

    a) It was brilliant and

    b) my young fella totally enjoyed it and thought that the best character was actually the person I knew. My son had no idea that it was him.

Funniest thing was that we met the actor afterwards, and I introduced my son, but I didn't cop on until we were off having food that he hadn't realised that he's met the actor, as he had changed outfit and put on a hat! He thought it was just another friend who had been at the show.

heading out for my evening walk about 35 minutes ago, about to step out the door, coat on, I received a phone call, 10 minutes later it’s chucking it down with rain… so that call saved me getting soaked.

My eldest "nibling" was 18 today. My sister's daughter was 18 so I…naw, I wasn't emotional but we had a great day.

I found a video of her 7th birthday, when her grandfather (my Da) was pushing her on a swing. He died 7 years ago. But it was a great memory, overall!!😄

Lazy Sunday and there's a heavy rain shower outside. The back doors open, it's not cold, and there's no flies about. Plus coffee.

    Bliss 🧘‍♀️

Got a live ban on tiktok for a few days…Completely BS and probably an AI investigation into some spurious made up BS..

Anyway appealed it and got it overturned in its entirety..no ban at all… not that it matters but considering what people actually DO get away with on that app... But common sense and reasonable thinking prevail, somehow, nice to experience that occasionally given the times we live in..

really enjoyable good workout. Managed to go both my longest time and my fastest ever speed on the treadmill. So both endurance and pace still improving and going in the right direction. About 65% improvement in my stats from joining in ‘17 till now….and will keep going.
