I'm surprised that nothing in-depth has been written in any of the business newspapers/sites about the sudden announcement on April 30 that oxendales are closing down. They were a very well known brand in Ireland for many years, did a very successful transition from catalogues to online in the late 00s and were making millions of euro profit per year according to articles written in the 2010s.

There was an article in the Irish Times at the time of the closure announcement.

It appears to have been a commercial decision to close and advice to customers is online.
