@kikicatena Hi thanks for reply, I only saw the three psychometric tests when I signed in … it was my understanding that you had to pass to get to the written assessment. On the PAS app I click tests completed and then it changed to “we are reviewing your application and will be in touch” …. So I was waiting for further info. on their own app to indicate further advanced. I queried on their app. Then checked my spam and their was an invite to sit the written assessment (I was too late the link had expired) … all email correspondence had gone to my inbox but for some weird unknown reason this email went to spam … morale of story always check spam too!!! ) I contact PAS to explain but I got the standard you didn’t complete all 4 tests. Best of luck to you all 👍

@PmMeUrDogs hi thanks for your reply … I didn’t see the written assessment whilst doing the 3 tests numerical/VR/JS so I clicked ‘tests completed’ … so then I had thought you had to pass the numerical/VR&SJ before being invited to sit the written test. Either way by the time I contacted PAS to follow up, I was too late 🥲 Wishing you the best of luck in the competition 👍

Well, I was certainly delighted when I received the message that I’d passed the first stage, but that was before I saw my scores😂 OOM 4098 in Dublin.
At least I tried😅 This was my first time that I applied for EO

See you next year – let’s see how quickly the queue moves. I wish everyone who makes it through to the interview stage the best of luck🤗

I'd say it's more important at the assessment stage, but it is still important for the Interview stage too.

You won't get an interview if your Assessment OOM is too high, and they also may not reach your post Interview OOM if you're high up there too.

I think if you are outside Dublin you have to do well in Assessments to make sure you get to Interview. Most counties outside Dublin will onl call one or two batches so you need to be high enough up after assessments to get in those batches. Dublin not so much as they will use a lot more batches and go down lists a lot further

Anyone in Wexford called for interview yet? I got 87 in open so I’ve a feeling I won’t be called at any stage 🙄

What was the batches called for Louth previously would they go up to 100?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 117 ✭✭Doyle93

I was around 20 in oom for Louth in 2024 competition and never got an interview, they only went as far as 13 or so from the 2024 Louth panel and that was even with expansion of customs in and around dundalk so it was a big year. Less than 10 is normal for Louth unfortunately.

Only real chance without a top 10 OOM is for those in dublin. Some outliers counties might be different but as a general expectation what I said seems correct.

The release how many were called per location in the last competitions dont they ?

One of my mates has an interview for Offaly next week, he’s Top 10 OOM

No nothing yet, my OOM is in the top 5 so hoping we'll hear soon 🤞

Hi everyone, this is my first time taking part in a Civil Service competition. My OOM is 13, so I'm hoping I'll be called for an interview, but at the same time I'm feeling quite nervous.

I understand that it will be a capability-based interview and I'm wondering what kind of questions are usually asked to assess skills and motiviation. Will it follow the typical format of ''Tell me about a time when you…''? And after giving an example, will there be follow-up questions, such as which skills helped you in that situation or what you would do if you didn't have sufficient information etc?

Any updates on Dublin interviews? Im mid 50s OOM and have heard nothing yet. Im assuming I will get an interview as they went far higher than my rank in 2024 but I am hoping for a bit of notice because I’m travelling at the moment and don’t have great internet access everywhere.

Someone posted about a week back saying they’d enquired and PAS said they try to bring forward batches of 80-100 in Dublin, where possible. Maybe an idea to email them yourself and ask about rough batch estimates, given your position. Might get some peace of mind that you’re not missing comms, or if there is an issue, give them a chance to rectify ahead of your slot.

Mid teens here (open) and interview is tomorrow week, got 16 days notice of interview, but only about 48 hours to confirm attendance.

Anyone called for interview in Kildare? I'm just below 15 OOM But haven't heard anything.

I’m single digits for the north west and no movement…

would anyone know if the interview will be the old competencies or the new ones?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 142 ✭✭AdmiralHip

I'm pretty sure that the open comps have moved towards the capability framework but I might be wrong.

As of today not a sinner called for open or interdepartmental in Waterford yet!

    thanks

    They are the new ones!

Small movement in Waterford so far this year on other EO panels; internal promotions and then the 2024 panel that extended. It was a slog, a handful of places moved this year was all.

Does anyone know if I should expect to get called to the next stage for Limerick - OOM mid 120’s Open. Mid 40’s Inter? I’ve applied previously but never progressed to Stage 2 but this time around my scores have been better than competitions in other years.

for dublin? Unlikely. I believe it was mentioned in this thread that up to OoM 1500 was called for interview iirc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56 ✭✭DeargDue

It’s competency based. There’s a new framework and you can access it on public jobs.

I'm in Test OOM later high 300s in Dublin. Does anyone have an idea of when interviews for my batch my come up?

Also I am wondering if one if able to defer the interview for an exceptional circumstance, e.g. a family member seriously ill taking up ones time or a death in the family?

Had my interview recently, is it normal to leave it feeling like you’ve bombed it (without necessarily having bombed it)? Answered everything extensively but it was impossible to tell how the interviewers felt about my answers for the most part. Very different to any other interviews I’ve had in the past…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56 ✭✭DeargDue

100%. In my last one I felt very unsure of how I did, despite being confident in my answers. The board is meant not to tip their hat, so to speak, on how you did during the interview. At this stage, you know you’ve done your best it’s out of your hands now so try not to dwell

I interviewed for Dublin this week, felt I had done well immediately afterwards and now doubts setting in, why did I say this, why didnt I say that etc. Normal post interview anxiety id say, I am sure all will be fine.

Does anyone know how long the results take ?
