Because it happens all the time. There are barely handful of small shops left most of the towns and cities are full of big brand chain stores. We seen it happening right in front of our eyes. Food industry is no different.

And incentive for food inspector? Could be similar to those Bertie Ahern brown envelopes with cash winnings from horse racing. 😉

Of course not. That was just an example of how big companies work getting rid of competition. Why is it unbelievable that this thing can be used for the same purposes? Big companies used and will use every trick under the sun to further their business I only pointed to a recent talk where people tried to make suggestion that this may be on the cards.

There is no point denying possibility of this happening as big businesses are not some benevolent entities but profit driven enterprises trying to get the best outcome for shareholders. Getting another little piece of the market is very appealing to any and all of them.
