Yep that was one of the better episodes in the Untold series alright

Not sure if it has been discussed here: I saw the documentary The Perfect Neighbor today and I highly recommend it.

It's about a shooting that happened in Florida in 2023 and is primarily seen through police bodycam footage.

Did you think so? I thought it was interesting but Lamar just came across as a total and utter narcissist and waste of a human being. Zero insight or reflection from him on the damage he's done to anyone around him.

I have to agree with you. He was all about himself , not his children and how it all affected them , nor Khloe Kardashian. I'm not a fan of hers, but no one can deny the lengths she went to get him back to full health, or as good as he could be. And for what? For him being on the phone getting his drugs while pretending to not being able to speak or even have a phone. No accountability from him , it all "just happened to him" .

He's a piece of work for sure. No loyalty or appreciation for anyone. That partly made the episode so engrossing though. Wondering what self destruction and fallout was next. Not excusing anything but what happened with his own father in the hospital was mind blowing. Sounds like he was raised by a family of addicts / narcissists.

Oh 100% agree it was part of keeping us glued to it, waiting for the next catastrophe. It was captivating, unfortunately for all the wrong reasons! Yes, I think the apple didn't fall far from the tree there either.

I thought it was awful muck. I specifically signed up to Netflix for the first time in years to watch it. Most of the cast aren't there, what happens makes little sense and loads of stuff from the series is just left unresolved.

I watched the new shark film on Netflix called Thrash....it could easily have been called Trash. It was a bit of fun, cliche after cliche, not quite as "good" as the excellently awful Under Paris.

The only worthwhile shark film in recent years is "Dangerous Animals", but a lot of that is due to Jai Courtney's unhinged performance.

Oh God yeah I saw that, he was terrific in that (tbh I generally think he is kind of awful in most things!)

It struck me as almost purely being a bridge to what will be the new Peaky Blinders series when that gets released. Totally agree though the original Peaky Blinders series was brilliant. The Immortal Man film not so much although I probably not as down on it as yourself.

Finished the last episode of Stranger Things last night and really enjoyed that final season. I had been putting off watching the final season as I really liked the show and it was a case of not wanting it to be over. But I finally took the plunge and started the final season last week and really enjoyed it. A bit sad though knowing its over now though.

Y'see, that's the impression that I got as well. However, it looks like the new series will skip a few decades which makes this film even more pointless.

The peaky blinder film needed Paul Anderson,,he was in,he was out,it involved script changes and delays,, maybe it wouldn't have been better but obviously it probably would have, the film had gaps imo and was very poor. Hopefully that's the end of it as I was such a fan in season 1 and struggled to stay the course in later seasons at times but wouldn't like to see them flogging a dead horse, cillian has been brilliant through the years but his role has become predictable.

I remember watching that show virgin river years ago. I just out of curiosity checked to see if it was on Netflix and yes it is and it’s now got seven series ?I stopped after season 3 I think because it was getting way to over the top.

We felt the same so I went ahead and booked the West End show for us to go to the day after we watched the finale :D An expensive trip but it was worth it as our son has basically grown up at a similar rate to the kids in the show. We are now starting our 4th and final rewatch . Last episode will be watched on November 6th and that will be the final closure for us !
I’ll be Keats looking forward to the last 4 episodes being honest .

Music documentary that might be on Netflix a while, apologies if already mentioned.

"Save the Children: a concert for the ages"

Filmed in 1973 in Chicago. Amazing music, the best of musicians, I was blown away by this.

Watched Apex. Have been looking forward to this for a while as survival thrillers is one of my favourite genres. This is a bare-bones thriller and does exactly what you would expect of such a movie and I enjoyed it a lot. Sort of a cross between The River Wild and Deliverance. Recommended for fans of the genre. Charlize Theron being incredibly photogenic is also a bonus.

It was kind of what I was expecting, Theron was bland in it but Taron Egerton was terrific I thought and deserved a better film around him.

Had no idea the rather excellent The Chestnut Man was coming back for a second season and so soon! Released 7th May!

Loved the first season but always feel the dark Scandi thrillers are for long winter nights.

Having said that, just binged on Harry Hole and loved it

A recommendation from me for Detective Hole as well….. 🙌

Detective hole was good,, but overall I can't see a reason for a subscription,we all have one series we want to see but it's not worth y.

A Netflix subscription? It's the best quality and value sub you can get in my opinion. Always good new releases compared to the likes of Disney or prime which are quite weak

Time is contagious, everybody's getting old.

Many have enjoyed how this slow developing comedy has unfolded over the season. Needs someone new at the helm or it will be more of the same next season :)

Toran Egerton going viral for a dance scene in the movie 'apex' with charlize theron. Great scene, but the movie is meh. Put 'dance scene apex' into youtube. Amazing acting. Context : a woman meets a man in the outback who turns out to be a little unhinged.

Watched a documentary called "should I marry a murderer". It's very good, set out of Scotland, bizarre story, well worth a watch.
