Old Firm derby this weekend, comes after Hearts travel to Motherwell!

a strange feeling of being kind of ok about Rangers possibly scoring a late equaliser in that game 😆

Might be over for them but for us and Hearts I think there’s more twists in it. Motherwell could have a big say in where the title goes. If it’s goal difference that eventually decides it that could change as well in the next couple of games.

For Celtic first thing is that Rangers game. Need to be up for that, they might be almost out of the race now but will still come out all guns blazing especially at the start.

Rohl is probably for the chop all things considered

It's a two horse race now but still see there being a couple of twists before it ends. Can see Celtic and Hearts dropping points. it could well be all over for Rangers by kickoff next Sunday

Russell Martin appointment now coming back on Rangers, think if Rohl was in all season they would have won it.

Coming from goal down in their last 2 games is big boost for Hearts. They are the favs now.

Might be a twist to come. Thought it would be Rangers and not Celtic who might stop Hearts but its Celtic now. Dont see them getting 9 points in final 3 games and I think they will need to do that.

Hearts fans I know would have taken 4 points from last 2 games so they were thrilled.

If Nancy hadn't been appointed Celtic would probably be home and hosed.

Whio they going to replace him with? Thought he has done ok tbh, and rangers are in no position to get anyone better. Would McInnes jump ship even if Hearts win the league and miss out on the chance to have a go at the CL?

Could see Clarke going to Celtic after the WC as well, regardless if MON delivers another title.

I thought he did ok as well but you know what Rangers are like…

As for Celtic, I would rather we went for the Motherwell manager Askou

If Dermot Desmond remains in control he’ll want Robbie Keane with Scott Brown as assistant.

by the way with Rangers they’ll likely keep Rohl. They are better run now by venture capitalists but people who have experience running modern sports clubs. They’re probably better run than we are right now under Desmond and co. who no longer have a clue how to run a modern football club. Whatever happens with this season’s league title if we go into next season with Desmond and his minions still running the club we are fecked and both Hearts and Rangers will be passing us out while the rest of Europe leaves us in the dark ages.

I wonder some times does Dermot Desmond have a secret strategy to see Celtic fall so far that we get beat by his other football club Shamrock Rovers in the Conference League just to get back at the pesky supporters who dared to criticise what has become his disastrous stewardship of the club in recent seasons.

Rohl did fine after Martin, but he has failed in all big games so far. At Tynecastle for example it was clear McInnes changed it at HT simply by adding a player in midfield, which changed the entire game. Rohl either didn't see it, or refused to change his own team to adapt to it.

It's happened several times as well where he either sets up the team wrong and has to make changes to fix his own mistakes, or the team start well and then sit back (which happens too often to be coincidence, so it's likely his instructions).

It's clear he's a young manager still learning the trade, but at a club like Rangers you don't tend to get a lot of time before the fans turn. I think it would be interesting to see what happens if he gets a full pre-season and a transfer window, but I can't see it happening if Rangers end up third, which looks very likely. Too much money was spent for that.

Tbh too much money has been spent by Rangers for long time with little to no success. The year Rangers won the title came at a cost.

Celtic were in a position to dominate Scottish football for next 10 years but the Board have blown that which is quite remarkable.

Think Hearts were robbed of a penalty there...seemed a stonewall but VAR said no

Three wins for Celtic this week and we are champions :)

We’d have to get by the Scottish referees, I can’t see that unfortunately. I think we are in for some outrageous decisions against over the last few games.

celtic equalise. 1-1 after 25 mins

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,166 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

Celtic happy with a draw here? Would they be confident of beating Motherwell?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,683 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

No way should Celtic be happy with a draw. Need to win this as Hearts will put high score against Falkirk midweek (as well as us needing to win at Motherwell).

    looked to me clearly offside

    What a goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,166 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

When it left his boot I was instinctively thinking oh just one of those weak poorly aimed bicycle kicks that the goalie collects with his eyes closed…

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 123 ✭✭JorgeL

No automatic Champions League qualification for rangers either which they would’ve got if they’d won the league

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,805 ✭✭✭✭Jelle1880

This is actually hilarious. Do you really think Scottish referees are anti-Celtic ?

As for the league: It's Celtic's to lose now.

Celtic should have gotten a red card for the foul on Moore and your equaliser was clearly offside. There's nothing to indicate there is some conspiracy to prevent you from winning the league.

That said, it was a deserved win, Rangers were terrible and surely this is the end of the Rohl experiment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,683 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

There are certainly several who are Rangers supporters and unbelievably they are allowed to officiate Rangers games

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,683 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

It was not a red card offence and any offside player did not impinge on the sightline of Butland (Yang was clearly not offside). You must have missed the elbow in the head on Engels from Barron.

I live in Scotland now, and the amount of back and forth between Celtic and Rangers fans about how the ref is obviously pro one or the other is agony to listen to.

Lads dragging up a decision from 10 years ago.

Of course it was a red card offense, he followed through right on his ankle.

And Nygren was literally right in front of Butland. The latter one was identical to a goal that Hearts got disallowed.

I'm also not interested in your whataboutery, the initial point was that this idea about how there are refs out to get Celtic is insane. It's been years since I've been in this thread until recently but glad to see nothing has changed regarding some posters and their need to feel downtrodden.
