He needed to make it cause he was losing the footrace.

Nobody is going to convince me Kerkez is quick.

Our best hope is crowding the keeper on a corner.

    Stupid from Frimpong.

if it was the other end we’d be looking a pen without a doubt

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,068 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

Gas thing is, in realtime it certainly looked more like Pedro running into him and it was never a pen. Even Pedro bounced up to play on.

On the replays it looks far more clumsy from the side. Thankfully the VAR crew werent swayed.

Like most thing Frimpong does, it's clumsy. For a variety of reasons, it's been a poor signing for this season. Can only improve his availability and function under a different manager.

    The players aren't arsed.

3 times our keeper looked for out balls. Nothing.

Lost count the number of times we've dropped points to coaches who were appointed mid-season.

I'm really glad this game is over - putrid.

    Slot hasn't a clue.

Those boos are more than deserved.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,407 ✭✭✭✭8-10

Thanks. He wasn't listed as injured in the lineup so that makes sense

One thing we have been good at this season is breaking other teams out of bad runs.

Poor team, poor setup, poor performance, poor management. Not a single glimmer of hope. Just poor.

Those boos were clear and resounding.

    I think everyone has enough.

Didn't get to watch it but TBH I think that is job done now for CL qualification.

Neither Bournemouth now Brentford are getting 3 wins from 3. Brighton is the outside risk with an easier run-in.

We can't be in position where a 125m striker is coming on and can't get into the game again. The amount of times we stand still in opposition 1/3 trying to pick a pass to someone with their back to goal is crazy. Eventually lose the ball and rinse and repeat.

Anytime we are on front foot it's a poor final ball time and again. Our attack and fluidity is non existant. Slot will fob this off as one step closer to CL football of course

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 229 ✭✭DRedSky

awful. Absolutely awful. Its groundhog day.

Without any shadow of a doubt we need a new manager.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,502 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Cowards.

Incapable of playing cohesively. The press, when it happens, is a mess.

No creative patterns in the final 3rd.

Frightening that Slot was talking about next season during the week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,370 ✭✭✭✭Osmosis Jones

    I've regained count:

Enzo Maresca beat us and then got sacked

Amorim beat us at Anfield then got sacked

Dyche was appointed mid season, beat us at Anfield, then got sacked

Scott Parker got a draw at Anfield and has since been let go

Rob Edwards was appointed mid season and beat us

Igor Tudor was appointed mid season, got a draw at Anfield, and then got sacked

Michael Carrick was appointed mid season and beat us

Calum McFarlane was appointed mid season and got a draw at Anfield

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,407 ✭✭✭✭8-10

    Badly need a midfielder.

Not too fussed today to be honest, it's about next season now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,695 ✭✭✭✭rob316

I hope the board are listening to the crowd, plenty boos throughout the game and end.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,502 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

And that striker was actually decent when he came on.

He won the ball back a couple of times. Then the one time he got a ball early from his midfielders, he beat his CB on the outside and put a square ball on the penalty spot with nobody there.

The team is simply incapable of creating the patterns of play necessary to give us those opportunities.

We will most likely fall over the line for Champions league. A good platform for a new manager to build on. Because slot certainly should be gone at the end of the Season.
