Seriously it is worrying listening to these 2 kids - they are living their lives online. They are not living in the real world at all - its quite sad. They are increasing my belief how bad social media is.

Yes. Was thinking the same. You would have to think they have offline stuff going on but if not then the ban is exactly what these guys need.

Does Leo not have any level of critical thinking? Stuff advocating steroids and unhealthy behaviour definitely isn’t where you’d want to be tapping your messages from

Excuse me longford is a lovely place. Ask the Nigerian lady who gave up her asylum claim in France and came to Ireland where the opportunities were must better. Started a new claim for asylum here and was given a house in Longford. When she appeared on RTE as a poet the interviewer never saw a reason to question her vexatious asylum claim.

I have gone through Ross's new buke. There is nothing interested about the big fella. Two references to him in the Index on page 326 and 328 are not in the buke. These pages talk about pay rates and pay cuts to NK talent G Ryan and P Kenny, the cynical would suspect these references to himself were cut from the final edition.

Page 329 has a paragraph about an offer from Newstalk.

The few households in the 80s/90s when i was growing up that didnt have TVs and we thought it (and the kids in turn) strange, well you know I've met a lot of those kids in later life and they are fuckin lunatics.

Fully agree - I knew a few people who grew up with no tv and they didnt turn out well. Its like their awareness of things was stunted. They ended up as strange adults.

However I think its very different than social media. We all watched the same TV growing up where as now kids watch whatever and talk to whoever they want online. Its dangerous.

Sorry missus, your young lad isn’t listening to Phil Collins, and I’m saying that as a big Phil fan!

Kids today are digital natives, you can't shelter them from it, its part of life, as parents you can try talk to them, monitor and guide them, banning stuff wont work. Mine are too young for SM so I'd love it banned, some of their friends already have phones and I am resolute its not happening until secondary school, its getting harder and harder as more get phones

I flicked through it. Hardly anything about RTE's programs. No mention of Strumpet City or Wanderly Wagon in the index.
