Another 2 intakes planned for this year next is on 27th July and one in Oct no date confirmed as far as I know but likely 19th Oct.

Another Recuritment Campaign to start shortly as well.

There still seems to be a considerable amount of people stuck in vetting limbo with a mix from as far back as the 23 campaign together with candidates from 24 and 25 campagins with no idea as to when vetting will be completed.

Vetting is sent in batches as far as I am aware.

Congratulations. When did you have your station interview? And do they let you know that vetting was completed?

When did you get the offer? Was it by email?

do all of your family live in Ireland? Suprised yours came back so quick. All my family bar my aunt live in Ireland. I applied in Sept 25 and finished everything in middle of February. I’m hoping it’s not much longer before I hear something!!

Is it Full Time or Part Time you're waiting on bud?.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54 ✭✭Mike277

I have a conspiracy theory that instead of rejecting applications they just say your vetting is being processed and drag it out just so you stop applying for the next recruitment campaigns and stopping people from reapplying that would otherwise be refused in the previous campaigns. Does this sound crazy or am I on to something? I think they know damn well my vetting is done and checked.

I have one family member living in England. I doubt this is the reason for vetting taking over a year to be “processed”. I hardly even doubt it’s a real person and it just an automated email response. @Cdub8200

36, from what I've seen it seems to be quite varied

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 69 ✭✭MrJonsb25

Ya I am 39 myself. Sure we shall continue to wait I suppose.

I know they are up the walls with all the vetting cases they have to get through but minor updates on your application would be nice.

Needless to say any existing applicants in the system still waiting should expect to receive the same generic email " Your application is still under active consideration no need to reaply bla bla bla you will be contacted directly once there is an update.
