No one seems to be talking about this, any reviews of this event so far.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

Was there Friday for The Stunning. Very good gig. Well organized inside and out before, during and after. Only gripe is the sponsored bar. Would've liked more choice but it's a new festival and I can understand they wanted that side to go smoothly and simply. Mats down on the grass would've helped with the mud but sure, it's a festival.

    Looking forward to next years!

Seems to have been generally well received. Mostly locals attending.

Not an artist on the lineup that I'd have any interest in seeing. Hoping it improves from that regard next year

went lastnight and was impressed considering it’s in its first year. Sponsored bar to be expected like any gig. Nice to see something centrally in the west. Pubs were jammed after and not able for the crowd though.

Excellent for the first year of it being run. The tent was great. The sound quality was good, the big screen was amazing and probably should have been utilized more. I would say, I think it could use a bit more sitting similar to the marquee in Cork. They had some seating and a ramp to have some sort of area for disabled people but the seats were cheap auld folding chairs. It would also be nice to allow all ages (maybe limit those under 16 to seating areas). The food being from local vendors was a great touch. The list of prohibited items was a bit mad! Seemed to be a good few who brought prohibited items. They don't allow you to go out and return which is good for the vendors but a bit shite. Their social media and video department in particular did an amazing job throughout the festival. The event parking was across from the Maldron which was a 22 minute walk at a decent pace, when I arrived the shuttle bus wasn't there and I had to leave early so again ended up walking, I read that there would be pedestrianization so I thought parking out by the Maldron was a requirement in case you needed to leave while the event was still on so colour me surprised to walk up and find that there was parking available in Oranmore closer to the event, almost all of the streets were open as usual and I really didn't need to walk all that way…which would have been nice to avoid since I have an injury at the moment.

Supposedly it is already confirmed for next year

The rumours in Oranmore, is that it has planning for 5 years

Planning isn't required for an event with less than 5000 attendees. And if they had applied for planning it would be a matter of public record rather than something subject to rumours.

Maybe they actually have a long term agreement with the community group that controls the location and that's what people are misdescribing as 'planning'?
