All the above has been happening to me this morning and a short while ago past noon. A few minutes ago I was in the middle of typing this post when the screen was split in two, with the thread on the left and the web server error on the right!

It's not your phone, it's the site.

Seems to be settling a little for me, at least the errors haven't happened for a while, but it's still very slow.

It's like this since about midnight last night.

I'm still getting gateway/504 and the odd 503 error screens, every 3rd or 4th time I refresh or change page

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 316 ✭✭Resplendent Moose

Seems to be completely resolved down my way now.

Still like walking through molasses for page loading and posting but no gateway/503 errors

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 33,610 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

    Normal service didn't last long....

Back to multiple gateway error messages and has taken about 8 mins to try and get this posted

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 316 ✭✭Resplendent Moose

Yup, I spoke too soon there.

Thankfully all seems well here too

Seems ok this morning. A pity no-one from management bothered to give any explanation or updates during yesterday's issues/outages.

    Doesn't instill confidence going forward.

Anyone else notice a delayed loading of the home page (especially chrome desktop) in a new tab or freshly opened browser. (Comet doesn't seem to have the problem?)

Thought for a while it was my extension delaying things but Firefox doesn't seem to have the same delay?

No problems here on Chrome or Brave. I've no Idea what an extension is (I've seen you mention it once or twice) but obviously I don't need it anyway.

Thanks for the feedback, I blame 'Portmaster' blocking resources that keeps the icon in the browser tab keep spinning?

Bloody chrome quirks and Boards third party scripts.

The two main culprits are 'cmp.inmobi.com' & 'platform.twitter.com' third party widgets. That will keep persisting and looping until they timeout.

I managed to block them successfully:-

widgets.js:1 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT
choice.js:1 Failed to load resource: net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 33,610 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

I typed a simple 3 word post, quoting my own earlier post, and this gibberish came up every time...

    @Glaceon

What does it look like because their is about 3 different cookie consent things on the site?

Just curious are you clearing your browser cache, or have it clicked to do so on shutdown.

I don't see any because, membership features of my extension that has the below features?

    Screenshot 2026-05-03 195927.png

Manual Install version has them. I have more tweaks to ad before I post to the store versions.

Last two where only added yesterday, because I got tired of the third party widgets keeping the tab icon spinning on chrome. https://entertainment.ie/ also uses InMobi CMP!

    @Glaceon

The two main ones are: -

Google Consent version that has no 'reject all' option. Most privacy tools can prevent this from been shown!

    Screenshot 2026-05-04 155445.png

And the second one shown to members 'CMP' which can be disagreed to?

    image.png

So when you say your seeing cookie consent dialogs, which one are you referring 'Google Consent' or 'CMP'?

I’m getting the second one with the Disagree option.

If you click on "Manage options", does the "Disagree to all" button appear, perhaps at the bottom?

What Browser are you using, if your been prompted with that on daily basis, your browser has more than likely has the option to wipe cache/cookies/site data on close. For chrome: -

    image.png

    https://support.google.com/chrome/community-guide/245444314/how-to-automatically-clear-browsing-data-when-closing-google-chrome-window-a-step-by-step-guide?hl=en

Check your own browser for similar feature. My Extension settings are in Browser Sync storage so the option to automatically disagree to 'CMP' prompt persists even when signed out of boards.

Not in my observations of the Google Consent options. I had to disable all my privacy tools, to get the screenshots above, which I don't want to do now to confirm if it is there or not. And as it a google powered thing working in a Shadow Dom, very hard to counter it's actions.
