Amazing the tv director found a replay there

Bath will be defeated here, but they can hold their heads up.

I fear the same fate awaits Leinster in a fortnight.

Hard to see bath coming back. Made a mess of the lineout in Bordeaux's 22

It’s been said a million times but the French tv directors are a farce.

That ball is not kept in control, it should be no try.

Surely that should be a penalty try?

    Maul was proceeding with pace

Urgh, Bordeaux it is in the Final.

They won't have a French tv director in the final at least

Amazingly Bath get the first yellow card after two potential head shots seemingly not looked at.

Yeah that's it now. Decent fight by Bath.

Carreras has been really good for Bath

So much wrong with that penalty. Bordeaux player off his feet playing the ball. Should be a Bath penalty.

Bath player torpedoes I to the ruck head first. Penalty against Bath but should have been a card too

Most of Bordeaux's scores have been from Stupid Bath mistakes

It is increasingly difficult not to feel the French TV directors, and the crowd responding to what they selectively choose to show and not show, has an undue effect on ref decisions far too often. To the extent the European administrators need to review it all and ensure the impartiality professional sports require.

commentators were very Bath biased, but they’re not wrong that a lot of decisions went against them

Oh Finn you got so lucky there

Begles are such an impressive team - their resolute defence is far better than such a lethal attacking team would usually have. Fair that they will be big favourites for the final, but Leinster can be at least as close to them as Bath were today for 65mins.

"You can't afford to make any mistakes at this level" said Andy Goode.

Andy, could you have a word with the Leinster lads please and remind them of that? 🤣

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,089 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

They also called out the French TV for the disgrace they are, and they didn't say a word that wasn't evidence based.

Can't help but feel Bath were the architects of their own downfall, the botched lineout being emblematic of that. Dunn, Barbery & Russell with killer knock ons.

UBB probably had another gear but feel they got a lot of favourable calls (2 x head contact) and lots of leniency defending in the red zone. Nika coaching the second man constantly.

    good man.

Photographic evidence of no head to head contact.

You obviously weren't at, and potentially didn't even watch, the game yesterday because both the match and the atmosphere were very good. What the hell are you talking about?

    Didnt see the Bath game

How did Penaud go in the centre?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,057 ✭✭✭johnh6767

what planet did you tune in from it was quite the opposite, atmosphere was fabulous and attendance was 38/39k . Didn’t see any prawn sandwiches on the menu’s but the Murphy’s was excellent

Don't respond. He constantly posts this type of crap. Probably only communication he gets and craves attention. Bless.

alright I guess. Didn't notice any glaring mistakes, but also don't remember any big moments in attack

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 892 ✭✭✭darkened_scrum

He got around the outside of the Bath defence for their first try and carried for about 30m before being tackled right before the line.

He was also arguably the best tactical kicker in the game in his prime and a very high quality goal kicker. And good at running the nackline and distributing the ball.

But yes his defence was very weak. Maybe not as bad as Prendergast is currently but it was his weak link. Difference is he was top quality in all other aspects of the game and the best 10 Ireland ever had until a certain J.Sexton emerged and eclipsed him.

This is childish nonsense. Seriously- why do you do this? Presumably you're an adult? Haven't you anything better to do with your time? You're subtracting from debate and conversation- you add nothing. Try and do better.
