    Horror stuff from Prendergast

How anyone can defend Sam's tackling, that's **** horrendous.

Why is Prendergast on the wing?

Surely you shift Harry to 12, Osborne to 13 and Ringrose to 14?

It makes zero sense for the selections being made as they were.

Coaching team caught making a bollix of it in a semi final, again.

    Ffs Prendergast

Very generous of Prendergast to shepherd him over the line there.

This is shambolic at the minute.

oh well Sammy up to his usual tricks again. Why is he even in 23

Toulon about to empty themselves into this scrum. Whomever wins this scrum wins the game.

Jaminet has been the best player on the park by a mile. Him and him alone are the reason why Toulon are still in this.

Reiko has been class today .

Ah, knives out immediately for Sam, I see. We were far too narrow, he had too much space to cover there, and it's not his fault we've left Toulon back into a position where that try makes it a one score game. He's also not a winger, but is being played there. But yeah, sure let's jump on him straight away.

    Reiko saves the day

Why were Leinster not allowed to play advantage after the no arms tackle?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,979 ✭✭✭For Petes Sake

He really has. He's really shown up in recent weeks when we've needed him.

Last 20 minutes were very poor.

He had him perfectly lined up to hammer him over the line but he hesitated and didn't commit, and I'm usually one to defend him.

Andy Farrell has ruined Sam Prendergast....

the bench obviously massively weakened Leinster which led to that last 10 minutes of almost throwing it away. Prendergast unfortunately is a big weak link, I think his very first contribution to the game was a missed tackle.

but best team won overall without question.

still can’t see them beating Bordeaux.

Seriously? It was shocking, there's no need to try to defend it. His inability to grab a man who is stationary in front of him is nothing to do with whether he's playing out of position or not.

Got the job done in the end, that's the main thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,666 ✭✭✭SaoPaulo41

No that was just an absolutely awful attempt at a tackle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,979 ✭✭✭For Petes Sake

Understand what you're saying but it was a poor effort.

However I question the decision to put him out on the wing in the first place. Coaching ticket f*cked it again but the quality of the players let them away with it.

It's not knives out to say that was an objectively poor effort at a tackle.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,376 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Good performance that didn't fully reflect how well Leinster played, I think. We can be more clinical in attack definitely.

Big win for the Nienaber rush defence today. Shut down so.manh Toulon attacks around midfield.

Honestly when Leinster were actually winning this competition, they were scraping one point wins against Leicester and Quins and it was often turgid rugby, all that matters is that you get there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,170 ✭✭✭uptherebels

His defence/tackling shows zero improvement. What do you expect after yet another hand flapping attempt at a tackle? That he isn't a winger is irrelevant

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,101 ✭✭✭accensi0n

Was Osborne carrying a knock the last 15 mins? Or just knackered? He seemed very slow and laboured.

We'll shite on Sam for a missed tackle, but excuse Harry for having a nightmare today because we have agendas. Naked to see.
