i will be adding a radon fan to a radon connection point and just opened it to see that the connection point (and presumably all 4 sumps its connected to) are full of water. The sumps and radon barrier were installed a few years ago when replacing suspended floors with solid floor PIR insulation UFH and screed.
The sumps and sump pipework sit on top of the slab and then have a radon membrane over them and then a concrete subfloor directly on top. Followed by PIR and UFH in screed

has anyone ever see anything like this?

or be able to suggest where the water is coming from? The house is way over the water table and the slab was bone dry when we were were doing all the work filling the floors.

Assuming there was no end cap on the pipe the water has just flowed straight in through that cover hasn't it?

No, it has the standard easi-sump cap on it so way for rain water to flow in. I drilled a little hole to let the water escape, sealed the hole and have left it for a few days and it seems to be very slowly filling again. About 2mm per day I'd say. To me, that suggests a leak somewhere in house which is not good as I got a full replumb done when renovating 2 years ago.
