good evening, I have an FX3 trolley (3 years old ) it keeps cutting out with no lights showing, after removing and refitting the battery the light on the battery comes on when the button is pressed. it will travel 100 yards before cutting out again. Battery showing fully charged when working. I’ve previously cleaned and used wd40 on all connections. No sure what to check next. The battery charger appears to be okay

Could it be the switch on the battery. Try switching it firmly in both directions several times to clean the contacts.

thanks, its possible, I completed 13 holes before it started cutting out. I previously removed all panels underneath, cleaned and lubricated but never done anything with the battery apart from charging

I checked the battery voltage after the charger went to green and it’s only 8 volts, looks like a replacement is required

Always try a replacement charger first…

Garages usually have a tester to determine if battery or alternator needs replacing. Might work on your battery?

I've an issue with my trolley (motocaddy s5), that it eont really move when on grass, anyone come across that? Messed around with it last week, it works fine on solid ground, but its like theres no force when its on grass

I've an S5 too. Sometimes I remove the wheels if I am transporting my son or a buddy. I've found that I don't properly replace the wheels occasionally. Trolley moves but can slip. Check your wheels are fully pushed on.

There's a clutch I believe on the wheels. I lost drive on one of my wheels a few times a few years (a different manufacturer trolly though) but hasn't happened since, so I just haven't bothered doing anything. Possibly what happening here, drive clutches needs replacement?
