I have a JVC Fire tv Home Version.

It has storage Capacity and I have also inserted a 32GB memory stick, which I formatted to this particular tv.

There is absolutely no option to record anywhere tv guide etc.

Is it possible to record from this tv. I'm guessing no.

    All help appreciated.

Im no expert but following a small bit of online searching there doesn't appear to be any facility for recording with that model.

    Yeah, you are right.

Going by the manual, on p.70, it says a formatted USB drive is for when you want to store apps on the external storage.

It uses FAT32 also, not ideal for recording large files.

Seems the TV is more geared for streaming services.

Most new TV's are going to be like that going forward. With the roll out of 'Freely' in the UK and similar services in other parts of the world, recording live TV is going to be less and less of a feature. The big media companies would much prefer it if you are signed up to a streaming service.
