Why? He is ...well...unconventional (is the most neutral phrase I can muster), there are a lot of things with more than a whiff of corruption and criminality going on in or around this administration to put it mildly.....there's the reality TV background, the flooding the zone, the constant stream of shite to stay in the news cycle....if any president was going to be accused of staging his own assassination attempt in recent times its Trump

I myself have no idea, I'd assume its perfectly reasonable a plethora of lone crazy persons would like to take a shot at him and are willing to follow through without any need for a conspiracy too

But tbh there is so much utter lies coming out of the administration mouth ...you can't tell when they are telling the truth......

good spot, so it wasn’t like the shooter was just outside the door

Well, I don't think any of these were staged, but actual dead people I guess would be one possibility.

It's not that there is anything about it that makes me think that it's likely to be a conspiracy, it's more to do with this administration's strained relationship with the truth over the years.

When you lie all the time, about anything, about things that matter a lot but also about things that don't matter at all, constantly exaggerate, demean and deflect, you can't be surprised that people have a hard time trusting you and just assume everything else you say or do is lies.

Irish leftists are so thick and stupid.

The amount of them who commented today saying last nights shooting was staged is unreal.

.if any president was going to be accused of staging his own assassination attempt in recent times its Trump

Yeah but given the circumstances of this one I presume i you're positing it was a false flag you'd have to assume this guy Cole Allen is some sort of Deep state actor willing to sacrifice everything for the cause…into Alex Jones territory right out the gate AFAICS…

Anyone else notice how a lot of Trump supporters are obsessed with referring to 'leftists' as if they're one homogeneous group?

McCarthyism 'Reds under the bed' nonsense. Real low IQ stuff.

I find even intelligent people turn off their brain when ranting about Trump. Its such an emotional topic for some.

Whereas fanatical Trump supporters seem to switch off their gag reflex.

We've reached the twilight zone. All while a load of them are wishing and hoping he's assassinated. But when it fails which is likely to happen, they resort to the staged coping mechanism. I feel sorry for these people.

I'm on the verge of a site ban. Please don't rage bait me, I'm easily triggered especially late at night!

No different to any generalisation including the boards bubble where all trump supporters are.... Well I'm not going to repeat the vile that goes around here.

It's been over ten years of this. Some people have spent over a decade obsessively defending this guy.

    I'll honestly never understand it.

No, I'm not positing it was a false flag....

I just don't know, I have no solid info I feel I can trust to go on tbh

I'd say its more likely nutjob....but let's be honest, what do I know really?

What I was positing really was...of all the administrations this one is most likely to pull stunts.....I think we have enough data to say that isn't a stretch...

I can do a fairly simple assessment of a Trump supporter's cognitive abilities based on believing what comes out of his mouth though. You'd have to be absolute thicko to believe any of it.

Sure, some leftists come out with nonsense, but nowhere near the drivel Trump spews on a daily basis.

You have always seemed like a logical poster on here, surely you can see that?

If it was a staged event the Secret Service are mixed up in it. The reporting is that Allen "fired a shotgun at a Secret Service agent at a checkpoint in the Washington Hilton hotel before being tackled and arrested."

Did Oswald shoot JFK? Hmmm. Convenient isn't it that JFK was supposedly murdered by a Communist? That's what they want you to think.

We have to ask the hard questions, guys.

Almost as thick and stupid as Irish Trump supporters, you’d say.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,128 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

Okay but if you're even accepting it's a realistic possibility I think you'd have to assume something like the motivation I sketched out for the 'shooter'…

The courts. The courts accepted that Lanza committed multiple murders; his mother's estate paid out on her negligence, Alex Jones was ruined for insisting it was a hoax, James Fetzer was convicted of defamation over it and Remington settled out of court to the tune of 70-odd million over it. There is an official record, an official verdict and an accepted truth as to what happened and who was culpable.

There has been no report published on the Butler assassination attempt. Nothing. Trump doesn't even mention it. The silence is deafening. Even thinking you could compare these two events is risible.

Trump and the US Congress helped initiate Operation Warp Speed in April 2020.

Doe anyone here feel differently about taking an mRNA vaccine now knowing that it was part-spearheaded by someone who may be mixed up in staged events/false flags?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 353 ✭✭Arseboxing

No I don't feel differently about taking an mRNA vaccine now than I did at the time, because I have a functioning brain.

And? He spent years putting out so much anti-vaxxer drivel that the journal PLoS One identified his then Twitter account as a key hub of misinformation.

Ths irony of course that the side who has for the better part of a decade cried about fake news from the Mainstream Media now demands we believe them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,921 ✭✭✭✭Tony EH

I don't think anyone is seriously saying it's fake. But it's just the oh so convenient timing of it and the capital that Trump is going to try and make out it that makes it stink. That and the sheer speed of this guy's credentials being shoved out to the media.

People are just being a little facetious about it being a set up.

Don't worry, the way his health is, he'll be dead soon enough anyway. No need to wish assassination on him. It'll be glorious watching the personality cult collapse though.

When filmmaker Chris Morries was promoting his last film, 'The Day Shall Come', he was talking about the research that went into it and one quite interesting thing he came across was that the FBI will often identify domestic crackpots and cranks who are found to be talking about doing some kind of radical act and then actually have agents go undercover to actually aid said crackpots in realising their ambition. And there are cases where its only really the undercover agents' goading or provided aid which actually brings the plans to any kind of fruition, just so the FBI then have reason to go in and make the arrest and thereby buoy up their stats.

To be very clear, we don't yet know if any domestic law enforcement agency had prior knowledge of the shooter's intentions or were in any way involved with getting them to act, but it's not an invalid question to ask.

That article was later retracted due to "methodological concerns" that meant the paper "did not meet PLOS ONE's publication criteria."

Fact is, Donald Trump was involved in a key role in organising the mass vaccination of Americans. If he is mixed up in organising conspiracies on a world scale I would say that is highly relevant to his past actions only 5-6 years ago.

Question for everyone: Do you believe JFK was murdered by a secret cabal of right-wing anti-Communists and Cuban revanchists?

They have a derangement syndrome which stems from a life of consuming American far right propaganda on the internet.

A brain rotting mind virus, if you like.

They're the sort of people who before the internet used to sit on street corners and point at people. The sort of people you'd spot in the pub and move quietly away from.

The internet has given everybody a platform. Unfortunately this sub species of intellectual plankton described above believes that means all opinions are of equal merit when in fact they're just obviously moronic headbangers who deserve nothing but ridicule, and a wedgy, and to be put on a Garda watchlist.

As in deep state actor willing to sacrifice everything?

It seems very far fetched to me tbh....but I consider myself relatively rational and I wouldn't like to face a death penalty life imprisonment etc for anything.....can't imagine myself believing in anything so strongly I'd be willing to make sacrifices to commit what is a potentially much more heinous crime...but then I couldn't imagine any sane rational human voting for Trump thinking he would make things better (if you are not exceptionally wealthyor corrupt or both at least) - there are a lot of other stupid things I think humans wouldn't do either but I am surprised frequently

If you want to go real tinfoil hat what about modern manchurian candidate type set up.....gradually brainwashed/radicalised via social media etc and then set on a path with some trigger.....a number of likely individuals identified by their online activity or other data etc...no need for any secret service collusion! 😀...

And? It was analysis of a single Twitter account. A normal scientific study wouldn't be done in this manner.

I agree. We've seen here how it works here with infiltration of Republican groups - especially MI5 agents within the Provisionals.
