Bright but fairly high cloud is quite nice to sit out in here in Tallaght

A fair drop fell on a few occasions this morning in my part of Longford.

What a beautiful week of weather we've had, particularly yesterday. The breeze was a nuisance, but sunshine was so lovely and just improved the mood so much. For me the bright mornings are just so important, and the brighter evenings after work have been good too. But we're about to tip in to the stage where the bright nights seriously damage my sleep for several months.

For now, it's very overcast here today in Kildare with just occasional moments of sunshine, and the grass is wet. It's calm unlike recent days. I really hope it brightens up though - I'm not interested in the warmth, just the blue skies.

Temp dropping a bit from 15.7C to current temp of 13.9C here near Tralee with cloud about 6/8 but very pleasant nonetheless with pockets of blue sky and sun getting through giving a bright day.

The ground well dry for the final tilling I would think in the fields nearby .

Lovely afternoon in Wicklow and for a walk in Newcastle with the planes and trains. Despite the breeze off the sea warm enough for just a T-shirt.

Lovely spell of weather. Just back in Galway after a couple of days walking the amazing beaches in Sligo and Donegal. There has been significant growth this week with many of the big trees starting to show leaves (Oak, Beech, Horse Chestnut, Ash etc). Love this time of year.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Yes thought that was unusual when I saw it earlier as well. Castlederg has happened two days in row. Previous night -0.6c and high of 21c yesterday. Not sure on exact low for last night as some missing data but I see -0.7c and a high of 20.6c.

On this day back in 1984, Glenties, Co. Donegal recorded the highest air temperature for the month of April, reaching 25.8°C🌡️📈

Today's maximum air temperatures will reach around 18°C in eastern parts ⛅️

Cloudy but nice morning in north Longford. I am going to do a bit of gardening today. Herself bought a few shrubs yesterday, went to work today and left instructions on where to put them. For peace sake I'm going to follow them to the letter.

The visibility today is superb. Cloudy but very pleasant for outdoor activities all the same. Looking forward to a game of golf later - there might finally be a run on the ball.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

We have hit gold again here in Dublin for 3rd day in a row.

Forecast was for cloud but it's another sunny morning. Cloud starting to appear now but that suits, means we can get our steps in the park without melting😎

Beware east coasters that the easterlies will return on Tuesday and will have a chill at times on the coast. Doesn't look as bad as last week though.

Beautiful afternoon in Longford too with plenty of warm sunshine and very light winds, almost calm. 18° at the moment.

A day that only got better and better here in Kerry, quite overcast and mild earlier but began to break up early afternoon, nearly fully clear blue skies now. Got up to 15.8C here out by the coast near Tralee and currently a very pleasant 14.3C.

Pic: Lovely Spring walk in Ross Castle Woods this afternoon which are covered in wild garlic at the moment.
