    Of course there are.

However any female who's just not doing a good job can't just keep playing the sexism card everytime to cover the fact they're just terrible at their job.

I think our Army looked weak when they did nothing when the Israelis fired at them in Lebanon, just hid in a bunker.

what is the point of having guns if you don't defend yourselves?

The decline of birth rates in the West, while a personal matter, is going to lead to further decline of Western influence in the world. While in some areas that might benefit the world (decline of US oil companies), in other ways it's bad (European NGOs supporting human rights will have less influence globally).

I watched a video about JD Vance yesterday. I think most of the political concern about declining birth rates is just right wing grifting given how they've incessantly ratcheted up the cost of living since Reagan and Thatcher and now they can't stand seeing more brown people.

To be clear, the above is a general observation and most definitely not a pop at you.

Who's they? Why did "they" increase the cost of living? Why are you saying that the increase in cost of living lead to more brown people? What if it's the other way around?

I've yet to meet a wedding celebrant (the non-religious kind), either through their jobs or in a personal setting, that aren't know-it-all, arrogant so-and-sos.

No concern about declining birth rates is concern about societal decline in the country's this is happening in as.Once a country has declining birth rates and then decide they must import endless foreigners to prop up the welfare state (even though they take from it aswell) you change the population demographics and then permanently change the culture of a country, some people thing a country's culture is worth protecting.

Your go to argument for everything is that anyone you disagree with is a "grifter" rather than them having a reasonable point to be dealt with. The term grifter is now used so often these days it's become completely meaningless.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,636 ✭✭✭Cordell

Some people would say it's reasonable to be extremely concerned that London (and soon Dublin) became white minority cities, some others will say it's a far right grift to even notice it happens.

Michael Jackson raped kids, but he has endless apologists on this site and across the internet who will shout you down and discredit you by any means possible if you don't conform to their narrative. They're almost as bad as the Scientologists.

    Michael Jackson raped kids.

Why was there a ten year old boy trapped in his hotel room in Ireland in 1988?

    https://www.irishtimes.com/culture/music/2026/04/22/michael-jackson-was-breathtaking-at-pairc-ui-chaoimh-but-what-was-the-10-year-old-doing-at-his-hotel/

The entire country prostrated itself to this pervert, it was sickening.

Well I got booted out of that other place because apparently I was too controversial so as that long serving Kerry TD John O'Leary once replied when asked who he was going to support in one of the various Haughey heaves - "Im sayin knoten"

There should have been an additional tax (increased VAT) on tickets for ryder cup in Adare Manor....

I would suggest a special 100% idiot rate.....the amount of clowns willing to throw away 500 euro could have been taken advantage of....

There were 150,000 people willing to do so by pre registering...

Why exactly do you want to price normal people out of events?

At €500, I don't suppose many normal people can afford to go to it anyway when you factor in accommodation and spending money. But why do you want to make even less affordable for normal people?

On a separate note, I suppose of you ignored the fact that fewer people have more money while more people struggle with the increased costs of living, then you could fail to understand the problem with the cost of living. Not sure why you'd do that though.

It's a grift. It's the logical consequence of transferring as much wealth as possible to a tiny cabal. Raising children is the most difficult and expensive thing most people will ever do. The people who created this now don't like the simple fact that to keep growth scam going, immigration must continue.

No amount of racism changes this simple fact. Ditto for pretending that words don't have meaning which is a very odd tactic indeed.

In fairness, if you can afford to pay €500, you can pay a bit more in tax.

You're suggesting doing both. Why not just increase tax for the already wealthy rather than consumption taxes that price normal people out of events?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,070 ✭✭✭✭El_Duderino 09

The idea that manual cars are the default in our part of the world, is ridiculous.

I've even heard people say they like the feel of driving with manual gears. Mate, you're in traffic on the M50, not racing around Silverstone.

The sooner automatic cars be home the default, the better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,139 ✭✭✭eightieschewbaccy

Automatics are definitely becoming the standard here, 5 years back you'd find it difficult to find an entry level automatic but plenty around now. Eg any hybrid is automatic by default. Similarly no gears in EVs. Surprised it took this long though. They've been pretty reliable for a while now.

Why exactly do you want to price normal people out of events?

Because golf is for wânkers. There should be a special Golf Wanker Tax

In a housing crisis we can't afford to have so much prime land in Dublin wasted for a pastime for insufferable rich bâstards. Plough them all up and build baby build.

You want to price normal people out of golf specifically, because rich people also enjoy golf? I support taxing wealthy people to use the money to improve the country.

No issue with using golf course land to build houses where appropriate. Golf courses make sense in the countryside, not in urban centres where land for housing is at a premium.

That's great news. I only buy second hand cars so they'll start filtering down to me in a few years.

I think there's an outdated attitude of the car as the ultimate symbol of freedom and status. I know some people go for a drive to unwind in their free time. I can't imagine doing it. I drive to get where I need to go. I can't stand driving in traffic so I cycle if it doesn't take too much longer.

Attitudes around driving for the craic are very strange to me.
