Nice morning in north Longford. Partly cloudy. Not as breezy as the last couple of day and very pleasant out. 10c atm.

Someone told me this dry spell is due to last another 10 days. Was he being very optimistic?

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Sorry to hear you are not 100% but the good news is that the summer is literally around the corner and we should start seeing warmer days ahead which always lifts the spirits

Longer than 10 days probably but I hope not, it’s common to get very dry weather from April to June before a wet summer. A repeat of the very dry spring followed by the ‘summer’ of 2023 is enough to give me nightmares!
Heres hoping for it turning wet and unsettled in May and a decent summer to follow. I’ve seen far too many poor summers following very dry springs!
At the moment in the garden only deep rooted shrubs are thriving but perennial flowering plants are not growing at all as drought conditions set in.

Dont care when its dry. It rained from August to April and winded. So beggers cant be choosers.

lovely day in Meath, plenty of sun and certainly milder than recently, still a slight chill in the air but very much reduced on recent days. From tomorrow and over the weekend early summer temperatures can be expected but sunshine may be reduced at times.

Much more pleasant for our county since the wind switched southeasterly. Bliss Gonzo !

Hope you feel better soon Dazler.

They seem to be under a clear patch Oscar. Quite overcast and that bit if humidity in the air here in Tralee, some Lenticulars around earlier, got up to 16.9C at my site and currently 16.3C.

Sunny for 3 or 4 hours in Sligo n temperature shot up but cloud increasing a bit now again. Again forecast last night had cloudless skies on both RTE and BBC so dont know where they get their forecast. Temperature correct though but also a lot breezier than they had shown.

Beautiful morning in Leitrim. 5C. Sun shining low in a cloud less sky. Busy tidying the garden this week. The change is remarkable. Tulips are looking spectacular at the moment.

Beautiful morning as I left home innorth Longford. Slight chill in the breeze. I'm on a site just outside of Cavan town with beautiful views of the Cuilcagh mountains and the hills of South Fermanagh. Its going to be a super couple of days now so I hope you all can get out and enjoy the weather.
