Travellers "tree surgeons" on Curragh again

No it's not.

All you are doing is driving an even deeper wedge between travellers and the rest of us.

The law should be applied evenly to all lawbreakers.

It'll never happen if we follow your plan.

As long as you continue to express hate for a whole community it's impossible to make any headway towards mutual respect.

Prosecute the offenders and support those who are trying to improve.

There's no excuse for what those people are doing on the Curragh.

Having said that what they are doing is not a reason to despise all travellers.

Clearly not supporting the dumpers on the Curragh.

You can ride your horse on a public road, but you must bring your horse licence if you are riding in a designated control area. You must follow the rules of the road for horse riding.

You must allow the Gardaí to inspect your horse if they ask to do so. You can also be asked to show your horse licence. The Gardaí have extensive powers to search and arrest if they suspect cruelty to horses.

You can be arrested without a warrant for most of these offences. If you are found guilty, you can be fined or put in prison (or both) and you can be banned from keeping a horse for some time.

The local authority may take and deal with the horse as they see fit.

I don't care tbh it's not relevant.

Not all travellers support law breaking.

Many of them just want to get on with their lives and would prefer not to be associated with the criminal element.

However with close knit family and community connections it's not so easy to stand up to the trouble makers.

In any case it's the job of AGS and the courts to enforce the law .
