Harlequins well beaten again. They've looked a bit shambolic defence wise this season despite scoring some great tries.

IMHO Marcus Smith is an OH not a FB.

I originally thought he was much more suited to fullback but watching him the past season or two I’m in the same camp that he is probably suited to OH more. I like him as a player but don’t think he is top class in either position.

I had a look online (I know it’s a cesspit) after his mistake yesterday and he was getting pelters from everywhere about his attitude, it’s always about him, selfish player, hasn’t been good in years etc etc. I didn’t know that he seems to be pretty disliked by rugby supporters over in England.

Exeter just a point off the top of the league after dismissing Leicester. Quite a turnaround from last season.

Bath score 4 tries in record time (20 mins) to go 26-0 up at home to Exeter.

    76 mins played. Now 26-26.

    Wtf

Thought he was very good against us in the 6Ns when he was at 10. Badly exposed our lack of pace in the centres

Jack Kelleher of Cork Con is on the bench for Northampton Saints tomorrow - he's described in some of the team news descriptions I've read as "guest player".

Quinn Roux just got a straight up 20 minute red for head contact in Exeter v Bath

If you want to see disgrace, it's 54-14 to Northampton against Bristol. After 38 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,906 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

And it could be 61-14 at half time, forward pass check dependent.

… and it is. Plus a yellow card for Bristol.

That’s absolutely shocking. Not sure I’ve ever seen a half time score like that.

    Disgrace of a league.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,783 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

Bristol should get fined or docked points for a lack of effort or integrity or something like that. They are fifth in the league. There is no way they should be losing like that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 4,811 ✭✭✭StevenToast

Pat Lam could get the bullet for that result.

Crusaders led the Warratahs 63-0 at halftime in 2002. Final score 96-19. Warratahs were top 4 at the time. Think they made the final that year.

Harlequins put 70+ on Newcastle last weekend.

Is there a premium effort to entertain but forget about defence in the Premiership?

See Ben healy got motm for Newcastle in their first win of the season against sale. I didn't know he was there. Short term maybe. Seems like ages ago he was starting for Munster

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,906 ✭✭✭Dave_The_Sheep

    Newcastle is about his level.

Healy seems to be a favourite player to stick the boot into for a fair few online posters. I think he's an interesting player. Nice ability to unlock a defence with pass selection/timing, and a big boot. It's good to see things going well for him. Hopefully La Rochelle will be good for him.
