Munster are in big trouble now. Brilliant win for Connacht but the Stormers are a cocky indisciplined side, their own worst enemies. The young Connacht lads look very promising. Big big game now against Munster.

Outstanding result....Connacht under Lancaster are going to be very hard to beat....

The French teams can outmuscle them abit but theres not many that will fancy playing Connacht now...

    Huge pressure on Munster now!

Cian Prendergast is an absolute warrior.

BIG BIG performance from Ben Murphy the control and distance on his kicking under pressure was excellent.

O Connor has had a great season, really adding value with every start.

Illo and Bohan are 2 classy props and who ever signed Gilbert deserves a payrise.

Well played everyone, home quarter final?

Think the bulls will get a home QF. They play Zebre and Benetton in Pretoria in May

Great Result for Connacht! Played hard and kept going to the end. Made even sweeter as a Leinster fan but delighted for Connacht. Fair play. Well deserved.

Was it 9 who came through the academy that played in the game today? Gavin, Victory and Reilly came off the bench.

Prendergast, Bohan, Naughton, Forde, Devine and West all started.

I don't think Bolton was in the academy.

Ben Murphy was excellent - deserved MOM award

Yes, Stormers very cocky, almost as if they could just breeze the game whenever, Conn got narky with them, showed they were up for the fight and not to be bullied, there is 2 intercept tries in there but created by pressure, not desperation.

Also Heff, Murray, Boyle and Carthy though I'm not 100% if he came on

To put this win in context, that's their first loss at home this season & their first loss to a non SA team.

This is a **** incredible result given the context, arguably one of the best ever in the history of the province.

    Agree 💯

I thought Devine was incredible as was West. But to be honest the real credit has to go to the pack. They stood up against giants

I agree...its an incredible achievement going down there beating one of the top sides in World rugby on their home patch loaded up with Springboks.

What a win, whilst no one was perfect, every single player fronted up and contributed. Seems unfair to call out anyone but the front row of bohan, heff and Illo won that for us. The stormers plan was to crush us in the scrum and play from the resulting penalties. When those penalties (rightly) didn't come they lost their composure.

There was a great moment when their captain was squaring up to a Connacht player, Devine came over to break it up and you could hear him on the ref mic saying "we've got this boys, we're in their heads, keep going".

Lions looking classy against Glasgow but 5 points from this SA tour means it already a success!

I think that’s one of Ben Murphy’s best performances since joining, Ive been critical of him, in terms of not showing his early promise and looking a bit predictable but that was class today. So good to see so many young players stepping up and not shying away from the physical challenge especially after such an attritional start, I honestly think we have the best young player profile of all the provinces, can’t finish without mentioning Cian Prendergast, to put in a performance as dogged and determined as he did today shows what a class captain and player we have. Hope the injuries aren’t too serious.

Especially when Heff went off after 25 minutes and we had 30 minutes with Bohan victory and illo. 3 cracking young players.

If anyone had suggested at the start of the season that we would go away to stormers with a front row of those 3 and come away with a win I would have thought they were nuts.

Having been the biggest critic of Connacht rugby for the last decade on this thread until this year I have to say this win to me felt at least as good as the 2016 Pro12 final win. I am speechless for once

only thing left is to get SHL to sign a contract

Great win. A bit of a shame with Cardiff picking up the full 5 at the death against Scarlets. Could be back in ninth by the end of the day, but the alternative would have been being completely out of contention for the top 8.

On a separate note, Calvin Nash would be a decent signing for Connacht.

And why would we want him? We've got Bolton, Hansen, West and young Treacy. He'd be behind at least two of them.
