And the grifter in chief continues:

President Donald Trump's online store has pushed out more than 600 items since he returned to the White House as he continues to “profit off the presidency," a watchdog group claims

Trump and his supporters are known for donning red “MAGA” hats, but there is a slew of other merchandise that fans can get their hands on. Typically, people score merchandise from their favorite musicians at concert venues, but now they are getting the latest “Trump 2028” T-shirt from their favorite politician, courtesy of the Trump Store.

And sorry folks, I could not resist visiting

Many of those laws currently exist. But the US is finding out that having laws with no way to implement them is pointless.

Trump just does whatever he wants and waits for someone to stop him.

He isn't allowed start a war, guess what?

He isn't allowed impose tariffs. Guess what?

Malicious people acting in bad faith can crack and destroy any system.

Some political systems will be more resilient to that than others, but if enough people like that get elected in a democracy, with time they'll undermine and successfully destroy it.

Democractic systems assume the parties will keep them out and off the ballots and if that guard fails in some way, the citizens are supposed to be sensible enough not to elect bad actors. After that, if they get at the controls, the hope is checks and various divisions of power built into a system can constrain them.

The US as we knew it kind of survived his (and the MAGA version of the Republican party's) first term, but this one has just been too much for the country.

What about it? Whatever you think of Trump he is clearly able to fulfil the role.

People seem to be ascribing some mental illness when, as far as I can see, Trump is just a horrible human that never plans for anything and blames everyone for everything.

Trump isn't worse than he was before, he just knows he can get away with more than he could before.

There is nothing 'wrong' with Trump. He is just an ignorant bully that has led a life of always getting out of any problems he gets into. Now with the full power of the richest and most powerful nation the world has ever known to back up his bully tendencies he feels unstoppable

Pr1ck, Pr1ck, Pr1ck, Pr1ck, Pr1ck, Pr1ck, Pr1ck × 100 times over and that's all he is and f*CK the Americans for unleashing him onto themselves and the world.

A video about Trump Phone popped up on my YouTube feed a few days ago.

It's sometimes hard to keep on top of all the latter-day Trump grifts; what with Trump Bibles, Trump Watches, Trump Vodka, Trump Sneakers and, of course, the Trump Phone, which comes with the model name T1. The Trump Phone was announced in June of 2025 and was supposed to be American-designed and American-made, finished in gold and with Trump branding. It now seems that the phone, delayed and still with no definite launch date, will be a plain and unbranded Chinese phone. There had also been talk of the phones being Apple and Samsung (!!!) B-Stock returns, but I can't say for sure if that is still under consideration. The provider will also be T-Mobile, which is German-owned, as opposed to a native American one.

What I found almost satirical was that there is an option to choose the Spanish language when calling the Trump Phone hotline! The comments are, as might be expected, full of quips saying that choosing Spanish will instantly summon ICE. And just thinking about it, the agent who took the YouTuber's call sounded like a Spanish speaker, which must be a lot of fun when taking call after call from disgruntled MAGA types, eagerly awaiting their golden phones after stumping up their booking fee.

That aside, it is absolutely astonishing that there are sufficient customers from Latin American backgrounds that it warrants offering Spanish support! I can only hazard a guess that these customers see themselves as the good guys and collectively labour under the illusion that MAGA will recognise this. The Trump Organization is, of course, more than willing to part these useful fools from their money.

Why can't people embed YouTube videos into this thread? It's really easy.

Sorry, but it's really annoying when people just dump a link, not just here or about videos specifically, with no explanation of what it's about.

Probably the Spanish language support was in the package sold to Trump by whatever low-rent customer support company is staffing the phones. The likelihood of their US support being US based, especially for Spanish language, is about zero. Lots of those companies run out of the Philippines in my experience, plenty of bilingual English/Spanish speakers there available for low salaries.

Saying he's mentally impaired is only giving him an excuse for his behaviour.

When he's kicked out, Republicans will say it's not fair to prosecute someone who's obviously ill and Democrats will probably fall for their BS.

I hope he lives long enough to be impeached, removed from office, prosecuted and see himself go down in the history books as a traitor and the ruination of his Country.

He absolutely is worse than he was before, both regarding his policies and his mental state. Look at the Trump from his first term and now, the mental and physical decline is clearly visible.

Once again this is click-bait. Meidas Touch have lost the plot with their videos. There is nothing (more than usual) in the video to indicate any further collapse of the Trump administration. It is a valid discussion about legal aspects of a court order to allow news reporters into the Pentagon, a court order that Hegseth has already ignored, and the Judge's admonition and instruction to carry out the order, which will also no doubt also be ignored. But it is nothing to do with any 'full collapse' of Trump.

Its a great pity as it does appear that Legal AF and MT have the expertise to explain legalities, but these can be rather dry, so they choose to go the money-grubbing route of continually using click-bait and overly dramatic, inaccurate titles to grab attention.

    This is serious.

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/white-house/4529694/white-house-american-scientists-dissappeared-died/

10 American scientists with access to Nuclear and aerospace information have gone missing since 2023.

Levitt smirks when asked about it.

Worse in what way? Is he slower? Clearly. But then he is getting older. Is his speech patterns worse, yes, but not in a way that I would suggest it impacts on his job and he has always been terrible (well the last 12 years anyway)

Are his policies really any worse? He wanted to ban all muslims for no other reason than they were muslims. He threatened to totally destroy North Korea in a speech to the UN.

To me the most notable change is that he knows he is untouchable and can do whatever he wants. He was constrained in his 1st term. HE couldn't get the money for the wall, for example. This time, he doesn't bother with Congress; he just does what he wants and lets Johnson cover his tracks.

I can't but disagree with everything you've said.

He is clearly having massive mental issues, pretending he only forgets things is downplaying it.

Not just that, but clearly his physical health is declining rapidly too. He's now older than Biden was in office and the comparisons are there for everyone to see.

As for claiming his speech pattern doesn't have an impact on his job ? Maybe, but I am talking about the fact that he clearly forgets things, mixes things up,… To me it's mental that people across the political spectrum were in agreement that Biden was too old and unfit, but for Trump they keep making excuses ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,421 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

I'm not making excuses. That's the point. You are putting his messes as due to mental issues.

I don't disagree that he clearly showing signs of decline I just don't ascribe his actions down to that.

His war with Iran and the disaster it is is not because he has dementia or anything. He has always been a chaotic mess and believes he can do whatever he wants.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,730 ✭✭✭✭Jelle1880

I'm not putting his messes solely down to mental issues at all, it's a mix of both being an evil POS and struggling with likely a form of dementia.

It's been proven that he has issues reading, he doesn't listen to those around him unless they suck up to him and put things in the most simple terms (or flat out lie to him), he believes the first thing he sees on TV,…

His mental decline is absolutely influencing how he runs things. For example I don't think the Trump of his first term would have started this whole Iran mess.

I think we are approaching that bunker scene from Downfall with regards to Trump. True, like Hitler, he is in mental decline, but he has also been surrounded by sycophants who have long regarded and praised him as a great leader, so that there is absolutely no restraint or constraints to his actions and the vast majority are terrified to tell him the truth that exists outside his his own warped reality, for fear of the consequences and the outbursts/tantrums and pushback that will ensue.

All we can hope for at this stage is that, like Hitler, he can do the decent thing for the world and bite down on that cheeseburger cyanide capsule sooner rather than later to stave off total destruction…
