That man has dementia 100%. There's no doubt about it.

In relation to the AI image of him dresses as jesus and later coming out telling people he's a doctor healing people.

He was likely advised to tell people about the picture of him dressed as jesus - tell people that it's 'doctored'.

His memory and comprehension was only able to grasp onto the word doctor and then during his speech his long term memory kicked on of what doctors do - 'healing people'.

That man 100% has dementia. It's just not diagnosed or know yet or it hasn't advanced enough to be known.

Imagine backing Putin and Orban and mocking Zelensky and telling him he doesn’t hold any cards.

In 5 years we will see which country holds the cards. America is heading into a pariah state.

    Putin, Orban, Trump, Vance.

Jokes aside, I think the dementia argument is too simplistic. I think the most likely explanation is that he's simply a toxic, moronic narcissist devoid of any and all morals who has had everything handed to him while anyone in authority be it his father, state governors or whoever never gave him more than a slap on the wrist. He took these lessons and doubled down on the relentless self-promotion. The Economist and the Washington Post once worked out that he's about a tenth as wealthy as he should be. He's a trainwreck of a businessman and he's spent decades poisoning himself with uppers and other things. He's basically every human vice and flaw distilled into corpulent, orange-hued flesh.

What he does have going for him are his salesmanship and his cockroach-level survival instincts. He knew he could go farther than a conventional GOP politician in 2015/2016 and used that to his advantage, transforming the GOP into the Trump party.

Then someone should tell him to publically announce that he is 'A philanthropist' (Always Sunny in Philadelphia style).

    That should be accurate!

WHat is quite pathetic is the upcoming visit of King Charles, an attempt to flatter Trump's ego, which will be exploited by MAGA propagandists to convince the faithful how the US is admired abroad. I know the King is powerless in these matters, but I would love to see him make some sort of protest. Much as I agree with Starmer on many issues, he is pathetic when it comes to Trump. Macron and Sanchez at least have some backbone (or cojones 😁).

Macron and Sanchez have backbone because of the geopolitical situation. Labour didn't cause the calamity that is Brexit but they have to manage it as it is. I agree that it's pathetic but cancelling it isn't going to achieve anything.

That's a really good summary. I think most of the stuff put out by brexiteers and Republicans was better characterised as slogans - actual arguments would demand some thought rather than the gut reactions which led to both groups getting their majorities. The "you're either with us or agin' us" mentality is strong in the US.

I'll probably be justifiably accused of bring prescription drugs into every discussion, but you might be onto something. What if he's on dopamine agonists - they'd be common enough for someone his age. An adverse reaction would explain the impulsivity which seems to have gotten (even) worse this term:

I still read bedtime stories to my little fella and amongst those I've been reading and rereading the Horrid Henry series of late. Trump reflects all the negative aspects of the stereotypical spoilt child/brat who manipulates, lies cheats unceasingly and throws a tantrum when they don't get their own way and is vindictive in aiming to get back at those that they perceive have wronged them.

Essentially Trump is the spoilt man child that has gotten his own way his whole life and has never grown up. Even the youngest of kids are hyper aware and know to avoid this type of bully in the playground is advisable.

And yet in this mad current environment we have a whole plethora of world leaders fawning over this spoilt brat and seemingly no one prepared to call him out or take him to task or put manners on him or blatantly tell him he is out of order with his lies and deception and they are no prepared to tolerate it further.

Apart from anything else it is becoming increasingly more difficult, when confronted by the events on the world stage and the dismal failure of leaders, to try to instil in children the importance of telling them they should stand up to bullies or they do not have to tolerate bad behaviour and that if someone hurts them they should approach a responsible adult that they trust.

While I fully agree, I think the tide is changing. e.g Sanchez and Macron have been very critical. Many European countries have stopped US military overflights. Countries are suspending agreements with Israel.

It is too little, too late, but change is happening.

Maybe this is his reaction to China sending a tanker through the 'blockade'.

So now it's not clear if there is a blockade or if it only applies to ships that docked at Iranian ports.

Just another typical Trump administration omnishambles.

If there's a will to act, then there's no reason they can't implement serious reform. First act is electoral reform. They have to tackle the means that Republicans cheat their way into power. Removing the tax free status for religious institutions would be another useful measure. Far too much of the current shite is driven by death cultist Christians. Pulling the broadcast licenses of Fox and other propaganda mills. Break up the media monopolies. Designate the Heritage Foundation as an extremist organization and impeach every judge associated with them. Declare AIPAC and other organizations as foreign influence operations, and get Israel out of American politics .

Pull the finger out basically. Probably none of that will happen, but not because they couldn't do it if they wanted.

Of course he's a yank. Probably one of the same idiots that were trying to tell a friend of mine in a bar in Boston recently that Ireland was a Muslim country now… 🙄

New Hungarian leader isn't taking any chances and is removing the pro Putin/Trump lot from government.

Even if Trump has a dementia, there is one thing that that always remembers to do and that is to help Putin. He latches at any chance to do that. Tariffs on everyone — except Russia. War with Iran — let's remove sanctions on Russian oil. Europe is ready to give the frozen Russian assets to Ukraine — call Putin — persuade smaller EU countries to block the decision. Every damn time Trump is laser focused on pleasing Putin.

He told all of the Orban appointees that they could either resign now or get fired when he takes office (which is in about 3 weeks I think).
