Yeah, thought it was pretty poor and disappointing, just happened to have a very good cast

I'm watching it for the third time in preparation for the new series.

The first episode and a half are flat out bad. His time spent in Devon is laughably unconvincing.

It's better once he's on the inside but half the time Roper says something to him or asks a question, the response is this stupid giggle and smirk instead of some, you know, dialogue ffs.

Roper's organisation is so poshly gay, the fact they're not all busy shagging each other constantly is incredibly unrealistic.

    Stylish though.

Genuinely quite like the new season so far. Has a lot of the same flaws as the first one but nowhere near as thin or as unbelievable.

In the first season why did Jed not slap the **** out of Pine when she realised the robbery and (disrupted) hostage taking of her son was a setup involving him..

The little “fashion show “ picking out his wardrobe in episode 2 was cringe

Even still. Who is going to look after him? (Havnt started season 2 yet)

Are you asking that in general or as a continuation of the question about Jed's thought process?

It's established that Danny spends most of his time with his (unseen) mother. He visits Roper during the summer.

In terms of Jed, while she obviously cares for Danny, she has her own concerns and knows she's trapped in this world where she's utterly dependent on Roper. She knows he's a naughty boy and doesn't love him. I'm ok with her not being outraged that Pine is a plant. The character depth is shallow enough throughout the show that I don't think it's a major miss.

Is this coming to Prime in Ireland? If so any idea when?

So very, very, very obvious. The writing in this season has been awful.

I must be in the minority, everyone seems to hate it but i thought it was quite good.

Looks like they are planning for a third season.

Hopefully we don't have to wait 10 years for it.

Season 3 has already been confirmed.

I thought they were filmed back to back.

As for season two, not really a fan. Felt more James Bond then Le Carre. I had a similar issue with the final two episodes of the first season.

The Teddy character is written dreadfully. Roxana even worse. Complete nothing character.

If they decided to do a bit more shooting instead of jabbering on, they wouldn't need a third series. 😛

The two main characters remind me of Holmes and Moriarty.

I am 3 episodes into the 2nd season.

I am enjoying it. clearly not as good as season1, but nowhere as bad as was made out.

Next season is going to be the last one.

    Scratch that comment, wrong thread.
