They need to look at pulling him because this is pointless, he's too tired to do anything.

I don't think id fancy AJ personally, I mean it heavily depends on which AJ shows up, does he even have anything left, mentally or physically.

Even this Fury I can see giving AJ a lot of problems.

Mak was a tough nut but exhibition stuff from Fury, different gravy.

Makhmudov was completely out of his class, same half hearted left followed by wild right hand all night. Fury may as well have been hitting a heavy bag.

Still think Fury vs Joshua will be a great fight and could go either way. Both well past their best but capable of a good 12 rounds

Kabayal took this fella apart , he is very poor.

That was bit a craic the back n forth between Fury and AJ

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,050 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

That was the best part tbh… fairly lacklustre event, felt sorry for Arslanbek Makhmudov … guy looked overwhelmed

I think AJ has been running from tyson when he was still trying to keep his undefeated record as he feared tyson was a better fighter, now both fighters have multiple losses under their belts, now i think AJ is seeing this as a winnable fight, my money is on AJ.

He got his arse handed to him a few times most notably by Kabayal and he got a very nice pay day on the back of beating Dave Allen which he probably didn't deserve.

He's probably a good bloke, but no more please.

Fury and Wilder both called out AJ and be seemed very shy on both occasions to me

Turki saying there was going ti be a big fight reveal kind of fell flat at the end and I think that’s down to Eddie telling Aj to stay quiet so he can show turki he has the upper hand with this one

Turki is toning down the Arab garb

Next 12 months now these has-beens arguing about who’s the boss, and Fury firing in 7 day deadline contracts n all!!😖

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,701 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

according to Frank Warren fury has signed the contract and now waiting on Eddie and co to sign so they must be negotiating further.

It’s hard for me to call who wins if these two meet they both have faults and attributes that can win or lose the fight for either but I’m leaning to fury purely based on the fact that he can adjust his fight style many times during a fight

    intriguing match.

I’ll say this. If AJ can get a good camp, and have a good cardio engine he will win.

Fury’s offense/punches look awful. He’s a slapper, and just doesn’t seem to generate any real oomph.

So, the AJ shaky chin I reckon survives handily. I can also see AJ getting to Fury’s chin with real power. I reckon AJ takes him out.

shy? What was he meant to do/say? They’re call outs, nothing more.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,701 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

Both aj and fury are not scared of one another or ducking, this was purely a power play by Eddie and Aj to prove Turki does not hold all the cards

Turki took Conor Benn away for a crap fight and then matchroom threatened legal action against ring and Netflix because they didn’t authorise the Huni fight who was still under the matchroom umberella

Eddie said Turki will fxxx anyone and that’s fine but he can do it too

Turki wants Aj v fury on Netflix as a ring event in Wembley but I reckon Eddie and Aj both want it on dazn too so they get more revenue

    Netflix will stage Fury-AJ Q4

The heavyweight division is a joke at the minute. Two has beens fighting each other for a payday,

Usyk fighting a guy with one fight.

I won't be watching either of those fights. Who cares who wins between AJ and Fury. We wanted that fight when they were in their primes. What way it goes now doesn't matter.

I will watch Aj v fury but for me it’s happening far too late and may as well not bother, both men having warm ups so the entire thing could collapse

Love to see AJ getting chinned in his July warm up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,701 ✭✭✭✭OmegaGene

it could well happen, look at the previous fights Turki has tried to line up like with wilder and Aj

Planning ahead rarely works out in boxing and Aj was fragile enough before his accident

ah no I hope he comes through it and we’ll finally get to see it and be done with it. Is it as bad as Kahn Brook?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,037 ✭✭✭✭walshb

yes. I guess so. It’s at least 3-4 years past its sell by date, and really it should have happened pre Usyk. But I’ll definitely watch it, and would much rather it happened this year than not. I think Khan-Brook a worse case of has-been payday!
