bought a new wash bag online… one I take to the gym I must have about 15 years, a nice designer piece of kit too but the zip broke off it yesterday… bit pricy the replacement but Ive consoled myself with the fact that paying the extra going into town or swords and paying for parking to buy a cheaper one would be as or more expensive…. 🤪

My burner is back in business and I never would have guessed the problem . A flat battery in the timer . Fixed and working within 2 hours.

great day had there yesterday , lots of successes. Gym was my best workout for months, probably all year… then home and after an hour trying to update an audio accessory with the latest software, unsuccessfully then finally succeeding having headed over to YouTube and a very gregarious audio / tech boffin provided step by step instructions as way of a workaround… very happy with that.

Before getting my puncture, I dropped into my mother's house on the way home from work…to say hello. It was a lovely 2 hours of chat about nothing much, but I think she definitely appreciated it. Because I'm so charming and lovable…😉

(The important thing is that she believes that.) 😉

Had a meeting with my manger and my manager's manager today. Open discussion, clear direction given and decisions made in less than an hour that would usually be a masterclass in hierarchical obstruction!

went into a homeware shop in airside and within about 6/7 minutes I’m walking back up to the till having found everything I needed, new light shade and two sets of bed linen. An organised shop with loads of helpful and savvy staff…no need to go searching…

For probably the first time in my life I passed an "exam" first time(granted I have years of practical experience of the topic) but given the time and money I have spent to pass exams most ppl wouldn't blink an eye at, and still fail. So this makes me th

Local Boots have restocked my favourite anti-perspirant… haven’t had any last two weeks but checking now on their ‘find in store’ feature and they got it in again… great as I’m down to my final half a can….

I bought a new tin opener as my housemate whose tin opener I was clandestinely borrowing has moved out. My old one never worked. Quite satisfying that the new one does. Doesn't get more trivial than that.

The school bus for local primary school children pulls right across the road when the children are entering and leaving at their stops along the route. This road is just wide enough for two cars to pass but the driver prevents anyone going past the stationary bus and keeps the children safe while crossing the road. You can't depend on the little ones obeying road safety. Most drivers are understanding but some are very impatient.

ordered a ‘men’s flight bag’… that’s basically turned out to be smaller than a bum bag, the only ‘flight’ aspect to it is that you’d maybe squeeze a wallet and a passport into it…..but I can put those in a pocket comfortably….

If I’m getting on a flight I’ll have a tablet, magazine or book, glasses, drinks a snack or two….a standard can of coke for perspective…. It wasn’t expensive, just as fûckin well, garbage… it’s just like an oversized wallet.

a successful dental appointment with the hygienist. A new member of staff, who was both extremely proficient in her work and down to earth charming…followed up with a relaxing pub lunch in my favourite coastal spot. Double burger with chips served in the ultimate comfort, with no room left for dessert. 🥳
