I'm awake since about 3 o'clock this morning and have just utterly slammed into the wall.

After a horrible, “induced” brain-fog kind of day, I’m now sitting in a freezing former bedroom, trying to book the earliest NCT, while being loudly and endlessly lectured by an aged technophobe about how hard it is to book one.🙄

The only card he has requires an app he wouldn’t download in a million years, for a date eight weeks past its due, and somehow, this is all my fault.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's even worse when your shoes are staining your socks!

Dealing with lying non medical staff in the hospital!

My wife has rung 5 times to check details of her medication which has changed. Left a msg everytime and no one has ever got back to her. Called through main hospital switchboard today and actually got through.

Told they had been trying to contact her for weeks. Funny that there are no messages on the answer machine, no one in the house has missed any calls in that time or that there are no unknown calls in the call log.

Wake me up when it's all over.

mothers best pal was in the Mater, to be there till a move to a care home materialised. The mother drove to the Mater last night to find an empty bed. Staff.. ”ohh place became available in care home, patient went yesterday“.

90 min round trip, rush hour city traffic, the effort to get parking, navigating a colossal hospital for nada. No joke for a lady her age and who just had a hospital stay herself..lots going on for their family sure but takes about 20 seconds to write and send a WhatsApp… “hi, K being moved today to X..” copy in anyone needing to know. Twats.

I get the same roll every regularly in a local deli. The price varies depending on who’s serving me.

When you buy new soft, fluffy, 100% cotton towels but they don't dry anything. They just move the wet around.

Wash them a couple of times, don't use conditioner.

Google listing for my local park says it closes at 6.30 pm this evening. But Dublin City council site says 8.30 pm.

Wouldn’t it be fantastic if DCC could just say..update accurate and correct information everywhere accordingly...so people actually know, the correct opening time of the public amenities that they own and pay for 👌🥸🤌🏻

I bought new boxers earlier in the year.

However I think some of them have gone missing.

My clothes are dried in the dryer. So aren't on the line.

I've no idea where they could be gone.

I bet they are in the middle of a stack of towels or sheets in the hot press.

I had five odd socks come out of the washing machine the other day. No idea how l generally throw the socks and jocks in the machine after a shower.

I’m out of lens cleaner spray, go onto Boots website, they have only one and it’s not in stock online, or in any of their Dublin shops… how can a health retailer that sells eyewear and in fact has dedicated optical departments and opticians in some stores, have no optical cleaning spray…. Like, anywhere ? 👁️

Use washing up liquid on a cotton ball and rinse them under the tap.

Croke Park could stage Fury v Joshua in September

Gee, I wonder why this potential fight is being proposed for Croke Park. Both well past it. 2 British fighters, asking British fans to go abroad, where the price of flights will be jacked up, as will hotel prices. And they'll try anything to get Katie a fight there. Hopefully it doesn't happen. 🤞🤞

bought a bag off Amazon that was not being sold by Amazon, one of those private sellers on there. The item has been dispatched apparently but the twats have used standard Royal Mail to ship it and it can’t be tracked….obviously it’s not something that will fit in a letterbox, need be there to sign and take it in..

Company is something like K&I enterprises which is registered to a 2 bedroom kip of a residential property in some cul de sac out near Heathrow, no other address for them like warehouse or office..looked on Google Maps, jaysus..Gangsterville….so knocked off ? imitation ? the real deal ? I’ll be soon finding out. 😵‍💫🤪

Do you have a dog? I read recently that some breeds they like to steal their owners worn underwear.

People who get to the exact top of an escalator, or walk through the doors of a busy shop, and just... stop. Complete lack of spatial awareness. Step to the side to check your phone or figure out where you are going, don't just bottleneck the entire human race behind you!

How do you know you're approaching decrepitude? Well, there will be signs. For instance, you might cough and pull a muscle inside your ear canal…

I'm off work tomorrow/today (Friday) but brought my laptop home. I just turned in on at 4:04am. Was that an error? 😉

Anyway, two annoyances. The sockets in my house tripped out, means that there's probably something dodgy afoot, electrically, in my house. Made more annoying because my mother is always saying "Have you ever thought about having your house rewired?" while sending telephone numbers of lads who will never answer yer call.

Secondly, after getting home from work, I dumped everything from my backpack and went shopping at the local Aldi. Just as I arrived there, something felt funny. Funny not good. I hopped off the bike and without a proper investigation (and standing at 6'5") I saw the culprit sticking into my back wheel. A jagged lump of glass!

I continued on to get my shopping but lugged the stuff home, wheeling the bike,, while being taunted by nature.

To those who have never done it, wheeling a bike for a long-ish distance is harder than it seems. You're twisting your body in an awkward position while walking forward. I decided to treat myself by sitting down at the first public seat available (very near my home).

As soon as I did, the heavens opened…so I moved on. A few minutes later I got home…so I'm going sit on my garden bench for a minute. No…a barrage of hailstones!!!

If I didn't already have Friday booked off as a holiday, I would have! (Or if I had left all this for an hour later, I'd probably have no problems. Except for the electricity…)

And of course if you get your house re-wired its going to be necessary to have some plastering and painting done, so while that is happening you might as well get the rest of the house repainted. Which will involve moving furniture and revealing all those half hidden, mostly forgotten bits of dodgy skirting board and quickly patched floorboards, so better get them fixed, then when its all nice and freshly painted it will show up bits of furniture that somehow blended into the old look but now look scruffy. Have fun, get back to us next Christmas 😁
