Hi Lads,

Im looking at a Husqvarna 430X second hand 3 years old for 1200.

What are the things I should be looking out for ?

Or common issue to check item is 3 years old and has been services by main dealer every year apparenlty.

Is there a way to verify though th eapp on the phone?

why is he selling? how long is battery lasting? you see it in action?

you can buy them new for 2800 as old tech old model.

not a chance would I buy a second hand one with the amount of trouble these bots in general can give if you're unlucky.

how big is your area? roborock is coming. The king of indoor is coming.

at service they check the seals supposedly, take off the cover and clean, needs to be done for extended warranty. no good to you.

yea, I like the mammotions, samsung is coming now aswell with their range and will probably top even the Husq for price! mower market is heading for the big billions! All the new models are very similar now though.

Mam have good range of machines but better to buy them from a shop not online so you can go to them if you have issues. Their customer support was near non existent in the past. I was reading a review and the guy couldn't get a wheel part under warranty even when he offered to pay (which he shouldn't have had to!) Mower was effectively a paper weight. I see the reps responding now over on Reddit to people and they're building out a sales network now here, I see them available in B&Ms so you'll have service if you have an issue.

Theirs Reddit forums for all of them and the bots in general. Full of complaints but people don't comment when they're happy so you just got to see what all the complaints are about.

Fair play,

Did a fair bit of research a year or two back and Husky seemed to be the safe bet back then.

Looking around now again wireless seems to be too good to pass up if the price is in around 3k mark.

Will do a check on other brands as well

i refuse to pay the husky premium. Segway has a good few years in there software now. Some good options. Price the spare blades on whatever you like the look of. some are charging 80/90 euro for real steel and some 15 euro for same. For a part that you'll end up replacing a few times that will add up needlessly.

Anyone knows where I can order a Navimow i210 Lidar?

I tried a local dealer and he says lidar models are not sold in Ireland and UK.

The UK segway website seem to sell them and you cannot order direct through the Irish website also the European one does not have an Ireland option in the address. No contact from them either enquring about where to buy in Ireland.

Farm and homestore it appears you can place an order and I tried calling them to confirm but no answer.

I have a 4 ISH year old robot vac and mop with a lidar turret that spins.

New lidar models don't need to spin anymore so 1 less moving part.

In the mowers The part apparently costs 200e, the mower price jump for some makers lidar over rtk is over 800 quid.

True, but also these things were not available or into the 5k not long ago. So it's nice to see it dropping into just over 1k mark with addition sensors etc

I'm getting all these different models mixed up. There's a cheaper model lidar model i208 they don't seem to sell in Ireland.

My back garden is only about 450 meters not sure if I should fork out for a i210 at €1500 or get last years model i105 that does 500 meters for about €869 but no lidar.

Half the price but I like the new model where I can practically just plonk it down and let it do it stuff.

Having looked at Luba 2/3 for the past few months I was 100% sure that was the mower I'd buy. However, feedback generally was negative in terms of support/parts and that coupled with the cost meant I didn't buy. In the end I bought a Segway i208 AWD and couldn't be happier. Setup was really easy, mowing is very good too. Highly recommended.

I was going to buy that model but as you say cant order from Segway.

Any of the Irish retailers I have see who sell it are €200 more expensive.

I think out of principle I will look at a different brand but that model really suited what I needed.

There's a storm with strong winds tomorrow, do you store the mower in the shed?

Does anyone have a navimow garage and how does it stand up in very strong winds and rain?

if you have a shed and it’s bad out there, no harm putting it away for the day. But it’ll probably be fine really.

I was going to get one of their garages but put it off, seems pricey for what it is. I believe direct sunlight is actually more harmful to them in the longer term than rain, UV light damage etc.

The garage hasn't arrived yet and looking at the mower getting drenched I know probably is OK but you do worry.

The navimow garage does look quite exposed at the sides. I would prefer the dog house styled ones for better cover from UV.

Hi.

I have a Luba 2 3000x and delighted with it. I want to get one for my mother but she lives 2 hours drive away so I know luba will not work as I cannot control it remotely if any issue, typical common to have it go outside task area and it requires manual movement.

Is there any robot with full remote control from anywhere, lawn is 1500 sq metres.
