in fairness you’d pack about 30 panels end to end in pairs into a 5 metre length of ground and with the slant or angle of them ,they won’t be 2 metres high, that’s a 15kw+ system

What are the dimensions of the panels do you know?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,879 ✭✭✭pureza

They’re about 3ft wide by about 5 feet high (some are smaller) in the way you would stack them to make maximum use of space

Certainly no planning needed for systems up to about 28 or 30 panels in pairs and that is a big system!

Generally they are now 1.1m * 1.7 (and change)

There is 540w ones but they are 2m tall

For anyone interested,my ever listening and ever watching meta sphere profiles have prompted a few adds for ground mounts lately

One of them is from a company called home and agri energy based down the country,Tipperary somewhere, they’ve a nice example of what you can do underneath a ground mount in terms of small sheds

Wicklow county councils county buildings in Wicklow town has theirs turned into a large set of car ports in their car park
