they have a tendency to swop the euro for sterling difference. So probably just 5k€ difference here, then another 5k€ for the 40 rwd. Although possibly they’ll stretch to 6 and 6 getting the 40 rwd to 60kish. Although I didn’t expect such a big drop in battery size all the way to 82.6k, the price difference doesn’t cover that much of a drop imo. You are losing almost a small cars worth of battery and range. Maybe in the 40 rwd that battery makes a little more sense.

edit - I see that is actually the price for rwd not the x drive, so you lose a lot of battery and AwD. Would want to be 10k cheaper here to justify that I’d say, 7500 cheaper in Germany. 635km range, 315bhp, 0-62 5.9. So pretty solid figures.

apologies. I assumed it was x drive but see now it is not. It is priced 7500 euro cheaper than the 50 model in Germany so possibly will be similar differential here. 65k maybe? That’s about same as Audi Q6 I think.

Kia the same. It’s different alright.
I see new owners in the UK group are complaining about efficiency. They think 400miles will be achieved in summer only.

My experience with the iX was similar in that I think BMW are wildly optimistic about their efficiency. I came across similar reviews about the i5 which I had briefly considered as a replacement. My experience with Tesla and VAG evs is that they seem far more realistic.

Carwow found similar in their review , range will be good as the battery is massive but efficiency isn't class leading

For some reason the 500 miles / 800kms range claimed by the ix3 seemed to be taken much more literally than with other EVs and 'game changer' was thrown around an awful lot.

Its a big, heavy, powerful SUV its never going to be that efficient. As you say, it just has a massive battery to compensate.

The 'gamechanger' attribution came from a fanboi.

Of course it was going to be nowhere near the claims.
