New reporting on MS NOW: Trump has told Pam Bondi she will soon be removed from her position.

Trump calling for MAGA to boycott Springsteen is bizarre. I thought MAGA only listened to Village People and Kid Rock at this point as practically everyone else sent cease and desists.

Bondi fired. Very interesting. It'd be great if this was the start of the end. They need to be continued to be isolated and treated like the pariahs they are.

As with all loud, attention-seeking gobshites, one should always ignore him as far as possible (not always possible of course), and certainly not respond in kind.

Interesting too that the first two sacked are women and both replaced by men. He's taking a bit of a risk with Bondi - she has to know the whereabouts of some corpses, metaphorical or otherwise.

Suggestions that Trump may make her a judge. What a farce.

    Pam Gone-di.

Not sure how wise it was to fire someone who has probably seen the unredacted Epstein Files, but she's in so deep with Trump that she'll probably do nothing. Would probably end up screwing herself for not having concealed that info before.

This is the tale of Donny 2 Weeks or maybe Too Weak

President Trump's best estimate for when the U.S.-led war in Iran will end? About two weeks. 01/04/2026

Two-week deadlines of Trump's second term

    2025 Iran airstrikes

In June 2025, the world awaited a sign of whether the U.S. might get involved in an escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. Trump said on June 19 that he would make a decision about striking Iran "within the next two weeks," in a statement read to reporters by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.

    Russia's war in Ukraine

In his 2024 presidential campaign, Trump repeatedly promised he could end the war in one day — but it has since stretched into its fourth year.

In the spring of 2025, Trump repeatedly said that various answers to questions about the war, including U.S. assistance to Ukraine, would be just two weeks away.

Trump says it may be better to let Ukraine and Russia 'fight for a while'

On April 24, he told a reporter who asked about continued military assistance for Ukraine: "You can ask that question in two weeks, and we'll see." He gave a similar answer days later when asked if he trusted Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he had publicly criticized in recent months.

Those weeks came and went. And on May 19, when asked if Ukraine was doing enough to support U.S.-led cease-fire negotiations, Trump replied, "I'd rather tell you in about two weeks from now because I can't say yes or no."

"I can't tell you that, but I'll let you know within two weeks," Trump said. "We're going to find out whether or not he's tapping us along or not. And if he is, we'll respond a bit differently, but it will take about a week and a half,

Then, on May 28, Trump gave Putin another two-week deadline when a reporter asked whether he believed the Russian leader truly wants the war to end.

"I can't tell you that, but I'll let you know within two weeks," Trump said. "We're going to find out whether or not he's tapping us along or not. And if he is, we'll respond a bit differently, but it will take about a week and a half, two weeks."

    Economic tariffs

Trump has also set and delayed deadlines on the tariffs he unveiled on most U.S. trading partners in April 2025. He abruptly paused many of them to allow for negotiations, with a deadline of July 9.

Trump told reporters on May 5 that he would make a determination about pharmaceutical tariff rates "in the next two weeks," though he didn't comment publicly on the topic again until over a month later, in mid-June, when he said tariffs on pharmaceutical imports would be coming "very soon."

And on June 12, he said he would notify trading partners about unilateral tariff rates within — you guessed it.

"We're going to be sending letters out in about a week and a half, two weeks, to countries, telling them what the deal is," Trump said.

    TikTok deal

"We have a buyer for TikTok, by the way," Trump told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo , unprompted, in June. When asked who it was, he replied: "I'll tell you in about two weeks."

    Tax plan

On Feb. 9, 2017, Trump said a "phenomenal" tax plan would be announced "over the next two or three weeks."

    Paris Agreement

During his first presidential campaign, Trump said he would remove the U.S. from the climate accord. And after he took office, he said at an April 2017 rally that he would decide its fate during the following two weeks.

On June 1 of that year, he announced that the U.S. would withdraw — which, under the terms of the agreement, didn't take effect until early November 2020.

Trump told Fox News in July 2020 that he would be replacing Obamacare and "signing a health care plan within two weeks," but he did not

    Infrastructure

He told CBS News on May 1, 2017, that his administration's infrastructure plan would be coming in "the next two or three weeks, maybe sooner."

But he didn't unveil the $1.5 trillion plan until February 2018, after a series of false starts that turned "Infrastructure Week" into a long-running beltway joke

    .

In March 2017, after baselessly alleging that former President Barack Obama had wiretapped his Trump Tower phone ahead of the 2016 election, Trump told Fox News : "I think you're going to find some very interesting items coming to the forefront over the next two weeks."

Separately, days after losing the 2020 election to Biden, Trump alleged election fraud and immediately challenged the results in several key states. He told the Washington Examiner that he expected to succeed in "probably two weeks, three weeks." Numerous lawsuits, investigations and audits — including ones led by Republicans — found no evidence of the widespread fraud that Trump alleged.

Presumably 'private sector ' is some job at a company with Trump in the name

    Until then

I look forward to seeing how Bondi's firing is dealt with by the House Oversight committee.
The subpoena issued names her, in her capacity as Attorney General and I have no doubt that much wheel spinning and effort to avoid appearing as she is no longer the "office holder".

It's beyond time for Congress to express and act upon it's power and to force compliance with the Epstein Disclosure Act.

Is that why he is firing her? So she can't be subpoenaed

Shes already subpoenad so I can't really seeing it having a huge impact on the validity of the Subpoena but that said?
It won't stop the DoJ and Bondi from trying to avoid appearing and to shift the subpoena onto the office holder rather than herself.
It's a tactic of delay, obfuscation and avoidance aimed at keeping the full files and the circumstances surrounding the actions undertaken by DoJ so far from immediate release.

Hopefully she wasn't begging like a dog, otherwise Kristi Noem would have arrived with a shotgun.

That lying bitch can be thrown under the bus, then dragged out and thrown under it again for all I care.

Just deserts are long, long, overdue for her and I hope that whatever humiliation there is in store is a devastating one.

Just thinking there about Bondi and Noem, a right pair of g**bags if ever there was one. If it was Russia they wouldn't be getting new super dooper made up roles and would probably be falling out of windows.

Trump is lashing out firing everybody, trying to intimidate the Supreme Court. He is unraveling, he is seeing enemies everywhere, his mind is gone, I doubt he will be there by the mid terms. He can’t just be kept in the background and managed from behind the scenes because he will just start firing everyone….. he will be gotten rid of, Vance will be president by Christmas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,332 ✭✭✭✭aloyisious

Therre's one woman he shouldn't risk losing, let alone firing, and that's Susie Wiles. If you see her leaving under her own steam, as she did in his last administration, expect his fall from office. The others [except for Vance] are all appointees, serving at his plreasure. It is interesting that Vance seem's to be leaving Trump to do all his stumping alone….
