    There's a public car park across the road on the quays. We used it a few years ago when staying in Waterford for a weekend with the in laws. Never had any issues with it being full, not at the wekend anyway.

    Thanks so much for thinking of us DvB, it was okay to be honest, still can't believe I won't have a laugh with her ever again. Last Christmas was probably the toughest time so far, even tougher than the first Christmas she wasn't with us.

    Hope your wife is okay now, the grief really does ebb and flow over time as you know. One thing we always bring with us is Mam would be mad at us if she thought we were sad for her, all she wanted was for us to be happy.

    Felt weird last night not pulling the blinds at 7pm, still really bright after 8pm. Think I've got a bit of jet lag as I was knackered trying to get up this morning.

    Cant believe we're at April already, normally the start of the year drags, but this year seems to have gone pretty quickly, I blame all that rain though, all the days just melted into one another in a big grey wet blur!!!

    Went for a walk around 7ish last night and it was still bright but v.chilly!! Still no real heat in the sun yet, hopeful April changes that!

    It was lovely yesterday evening. We had an awful cold wind here all day yesterday, would cut you in two, but it died down in the evening time which meant a lovely walk down to football & a great run around on the field. Was dark walking home, but the moon is nearly full and there was great light off of it.

    April, quarter of the year done already! By the end of this quarter, the kids will be finished another school year & we'll be on our hols - absolutely bonkers how fast time goes!

    April Fools day may aswell be renamed Fake Corporations Social Media Post Day, it's only an excuse for big companies to garner social media hits for the day. Like everything in life, corporate greed has ruined it all. (I'm still bitter over how shíte Cadbury's taste these days)

    Just like the tubs of sweets last Christmas, I've spoken to loads of people who've said they are not buying Cadburys eggs this year because it's gone to pot. People have become very aware of how bad for you palm oil is.

    This is me - I bought them for the kids and Mr. CL but for myself, I went for a box of Lindt balls. Will last me longer too as they are so rich.

    Lost the plot entirely and got an easter egg from Sugar Plum Sweetery. It was a pay day splurge but at least its good quality chocolate, made in Ireland and supporting a small business.

    Looking like we're going to cancel our holiday to Thailand in two weeks. Flights have been changed 4 times and my partner doesn't think he'd be able to enjoy the trip with the instability and travel through DXB hanging over us. TBH I'd take the chance but I won't be going alone. Last time we tried to go on a big holiday was in 2020 so you can imagine how that went.
