It was only a bedroom extension to back which I still require to do on disability grounds. 45sq.m extension to the front was coming in at €3500/sq.m. I was literally about to pay a 50% deposit on a modular shed/room in the morning but this changes everything, if it were to happen.

No, the room was for just me. We enquired with the council about putting a rental home last year but we were told no and that they have given planning to no letting properties in the village. There are at least 5 properties doing short term let's within a 100m radius. We didn't proceed.

Now with the modular home news over the weekend we may well proceed. As I mentioned I was going to pay a deposit on a man cave today.

I am currently out of work on medical grounds and we have the money to get a modular room. An extra income would take the pressure off me in having to get back to work.

The initial room thoughts very for a get away room, only electric supplied. But if I get a unit with a one bed apartment and rent it out it would ease the pressure on me to have a job.

Question is who is constructing the best value out there?
