The X-Files à la Ryan Coogler

This has been floating around for a while. Coogler is naturally not saying much, only that he likes both David and Gillian, but wouldn't say if they're involved, that's all he can say. Chris Carter gave his blessing a while back, this doesn't matter too much as it was always Fox's IP, anyway. I suspect Gillian will be happy to be involved once Carter isn't writing.

A few months ago, Coogler was saying it's his next focus after Sinners. He grew up watching the show with his mother. From his very recent appearance on the Josh Horowitz podcast this is still very much a runner. And he said things will follow both standalone episodes and conspiracy stuff.
