I hope Alpine can keep on scoring points. Gasly got points in the opening two races and Colapinto scoring his first point at Alpine.

I'm looking forward to RB out-performing Red Bull this week. That could be fun/fireworks.

Another 10pm Saturday night race for me.

I have a nice selection of stouts to choose from, including some hilarious Imperial Stouts, that are 12.5%

I do love Suzuka, the track is a masterpiece, and the crowd are the best on the cal.

one of the best tracks on the calender.

I've lost some respect for Max after this. Very childish.

Yeah Max probably not doing a good job of it here.

Not to defend, but the Guardians writer is pretty rubbish with his coverage, but is not excuse to boot him out.

Seems to be a reduction in speed coming round the 15 bend and heading into the chicane at 16.

II do think it is exacerbated by the magic aero closing just before you get to 15, but there is some clipping happening there.

Mclaren looking closer to Mercedes this weekend or are the times misleading? Could get interesting as the season goes on if McLaren can keep on the development path we have seen over last few seasons.

    My word.

Suzuka used to be a real crowd please for the drivers, seeing them hustle the esses, the degna curves and 130R.

Now, those sections are essentially neutered. Verstappens approach to the chicane and through 130R, he lost 50kph due to the energy dropping off, the Mercs were downshifting way before the braking zone.

I sound old perhaps, but this is really upsetting to see. The actual challenge of this place is gone for now.

You'd expect quali to have been a complete sh!tshow if they hadn't change the rules, still not expecting much from quali but watching cars losing 50kph of speed through 130R isn't a good watch

Surprised to see Bearman out in Q1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,920 ✭✭✭Brief_Lives

Just turned on the TV to see bearman out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,920 ✭✭✭Brief_Lives

I still haven't come to grips with this years F1..

Are we seeing the fastest driver?

Are we seeing the fastest car?

Or are we seeing the best car that can recuperate power during a lap?

Bearman, I only heard commentator mentioned struggle to get tyres up to temp. Didn't see his lap.

Times are closer so less margin for having a slide etc. Audi flying it!

Ah feck! Max out in Q2.

^^ Lindblad pushing him out! Hadjar through.

Verstappen gives Trump a good run for being classy. See you later buddy. Both Hadjar and Lindblad faster.

Very interesting qualifying so far. Especially with Max being eliminated and beaten by his teammate!

Verstappens car was looking like an absolute handful. Let's see if Russell can catch Antonelli

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 1,935 ✭✭✭Appletart Upsetter

Antonelli grabs pole again. He's looking unstoppable!

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators Posts: 11,556 Mod ✭✭✭✭Andrew76

Ah that’s a shame for Leclerc with that slide, wonder how close he could’ve got to pole without it. Brilliant driving from Kimi, well deserved pole.

    Jean Alesi..!

These kind of results will begin to put a lot of pressure on Russell. He looks uncomfortable, which is great.

Well done Antonelli. Can't wait for the start now, doesn't have a Ferrari behind him. Can my boi Oscar get to P2 or better on the start.
