OCTAGON SF8008 External Tuner

A family member is looking for a sat box, think this might be the best bang for buck at the moment. Planning on the two dvbs inputs and an external dvbt. Has anyone tried this already does the external tuner work well. I have an external tuner on my own vu+ box and it flawless.

The RTL2838 and the Xbox terrestrial usb tuners work for me on the SF8008 running openatv. I do not get signal strength with the Xbox tuner but it works fine otherwise. So disappointed with the Gigablue 4K quad pro blocking usb tuners unlike the Octagon.

Cheers I used an old playstation tuner on my vu+. Its doesn't work so well on my zgemma h7. I think I will point them down the SF8008 road so

This looks to be alright value with a 256GB drive, just need to pick up a xbox or playstation tuner for a tenner.

Holy C**p on a cracker ! Mine was less than 100 with a 1TB NVME drive not that long ago. ( April 2024 after checking amazon.de order history)

Memory prices have gone mental.

60-70 quid for a cheap brand 256GB does see crazy feels like pricing from a few years back.
