Sutton’s Seeds SHOCKER

    bought a pkt of Suttons parsnip seeds and it said that it contained circa 380 seeds. When about to sow them I felt that the Pkt was a ‘bit flat’ and on opening it I reckoned that it definately did not contain anyway near 380 seeds , . I counted them and got 51 seeds. Anyone out there have a similar experience?

    I bought a pack of cherry tomato seeds in Lidl the other day. Really cheap - or so I thought. It turns out that the pack had only 8 seeds!!! It even says it on the packaging but I hadn't noticed until I went to plant them. Seeds from the garden centre would have been much cheaper.

    Recently bought a packet of Busy Lizzie seeds only to find that when I opened the inner foil packet, it was empty! In fairness, I contacted Westland about it and they posted me out not one but a few packets in return. That said, the number of seeds in some packets has definitely reduced of late. Even something as cheap as Marigold seeds (which are produced in their thousands by flowers) are now being sold in small volumes.
