Hi, I am planning a build with a max budget of €1500, including shipping and Windows key.

I haven't built a PC before, so all my knowledge is theoretical at the moment, and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    The build:

    PCPartPicker Part List: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/jQ79W9

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 4.7 GHz 6-Core Processor €163.10 Amazon.de
CPU Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock Pro 3 59.6 CFM CPU Cooler €48.20 Amazon.de
Motherboard: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard €164.84 Amazon.de
    Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR5-5200 CL40 Memory €209.47 pccomponentes.de
    Storage: Lexar NM620 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive €139.93 caseking.de
Video Card: XFX Swift OC Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB Video Card €441.94 Amazon.de

Power Supply: be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply €115.01 Amazon.de

As you can see, I'm planning to get parts from Germany for cost. If anyone has any advice about the best way to do that, I'd appreciate those as well.

    Thanks

Never heard of pccomponent.de before and when I try to check their shipping info I get a 404 error. I'd have my doubts that real.

Swapped the cooler to the Peerless Assassin. Just better.

You might be able to nab memory for a lower price if you track all the amazon sites for a couple of weeks as prices are falling but that's your call to make. If you get some for close to €200 then good for you.

Nothing against the SSD, just found a cheaper one. They all work pretty much the same for gaming.

GPU prices are falling. Might nab a deal there as well. If you see a 9060XT 16GB fall below €400, just grab it. Absolute best price is €350 and we won't see that for a while.

Changed case as it's again I'm not sure who Proshop.de are. The Montech XR comes with PWM fans which is a plus. Nothing set in stone here but think about where you are placing the case as the front connections and power buttens need to be accessible.

Swapped for similar tier PSU that is cheaper.

Windows key can be got from grey market sites. Perfectly legal under ECJ rulings. Once you have the key, MS provide all the software. You don't even need the key to get everything up and running. You are limited in some customisation and there is a watermark on the screen but everything works normally without the licence indefinitely. In fact, it's better to do it that way as your key will be tied to the motherboard/CPU and if you have to RMA one or both for whatever reason, your key can become invalid.

I thought that Crucial was out of the pc/gaming ram market but there still is a stockpile of Crucial ram kits to buy so would it not be better to pick a ram kit maker that is still making ram for warranty's? Or is this not the case?

Good spot, though at least here you'd be covered by EU laws that put the onus of warranty replacements on the retailer, not the OEM.

Would I need to update the software preinstalled on the b650 motherboard because of its older chipset compared to the Ryzen 5 7600X?

They generally come with a more recent BIOS but certainly not unheard of. In the case of the latter, the board has a feature that will allow you do flash the BIOS without the need of any CPU or RAM being installed.

This is why you should always assemble your motherboard on the motherboard box and do a first test there. Makes all these potential rabbit holes a whole lost easier to fix.

Edit: Double checked, and it will work on a fully assemble PC as well. No need for a bare board. Had a memory it had to be but that must have been earlier AM4 flashback methods.

Would refreshing the bios of the motherboard make a windows 11 key invalid after you do the redo the bios of the motherboard and if so then if you have the system built but there is a new motherboard update what would you do?
