    Ah apologies!

Brilliant, do we risk a draw with West Ham to relegate Spurs!? ;)

Palace will have their brains on the beach in May.

Hopefully Palace have a few heading to World Cup. It will surely be in some minds heading into May for those with nothing really to play for

Gabriel out of the Brazil internationals. Hopefully he's pulling a sickie to get some rest, and not an actual problem.

Bournemouth game isnt for 3 weeks? So hopefully these injuries are small and gives the players mental and physical rest now, before the serious run in.

Play the second string against Southampton in the FA cup.

Saliba is out (ankle injury) of France's games against Brazil and Colombia. Good job as I just googled them and both games are in the US. We need him fit and ready for the final push now. He'll need 10 days rest and recovery. COYG

No information on this, but the jigsaw pieces look to be falling into place… Here's a (very speculative, nay conspiracist) theory. Hear me out.

Mikel threw this game. Playing Kepa was for Kepa and him alone to keep his 2nd choice 'keeper in form in case new daddy David had some baby brain in the next weeks. Not starting Eze, Timber and Martin to make sure they don't go on international duty, now followed by big Gabby and Willo? Has Mikel gone full Sir Alex? Let's face it. despite our drought, if we finished up with just the fizzy cup? This way, he protects his best players, Get's them a wee winter break, throws the lowest target in the process doesn't give away any of our game plan for when we play City in the league??? Give it a whirl in your mind and think about it!!! Makes sense, doesn't it???

As an aside to my madness of positivity…. Kepa, I was thinking yesterday evening after the game, how static the City forwards were, they allowed Kepa to go for long passes, no way in hell would they do that with Raya as he's soo good with his feet, they'd have pressed us and we'd have broken their lines. Also an interesting stat. They had 2 shots on target, they scored 2, we had 2 shots on target too.

It changes a lot I feel. It changes our mood going into the away game against City. Pep had the measure of Arteta yesterday and his players will be brimming with confidence while ours are sure to have doubts after such a poor performance. It might not matter if we keep winning our league games coming up to that fixture but it certainly would if we were to drop points before we meet them. It will also jolt other managers to set up like City did at the back and give us nothing easy. That performance from team and management was nothing short of atrocious. Arteta far too cautious and not for the first time.

I love it…. I dare you to put it on the General thread 😁

Disappointed with the loss but I'm not gone full headless like some, City had what 2/3 chances on goal for all their dominance?/

Drop Raya and Odegaard into that team and i think we bet that, no way that 4 man press works with both of them playing

If we ended up with this cup as the only thing to win at the end of the year the year would be a big disappointment, means nothing better off going out early in this comp

I think we will win the league fairly straight forward and we will beat them at there place, Quote me on this in a few weeks

Eze expected to be out for a month. Thankfully there's no league games for a while, but he will miss a few matches.

Brilliant. The day after my hubby's birthday. Funny feeling I know what he'll be getting this year. Tickets on sale Friday at 10am. Nice!

Let's hope there's a Lazurus type recovery, because Arsenal aren't overflowing with riches in that role at the moment. Can't assume the Odegaard will be back, Merino injured, unproven how effective Havertz is in that role, Nwanweri out on loan. Saka could be put in there? Tbh he could do no worse than his current form out wide.

I think Odegaard is pretty much back, so it's good timing in that sense.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,586 ✭✭✭ronjo

be good if Odegaard can play some mins at Saints….. Some more in Lisbon and then starts against Bournemouth.

it says there’s an Arsenal pre sale at 2pm today but details sketchy as to what the criteria is or how many tickets can be bought per membership.

Seems to be a lot of noise about cutting losses on Gykores at the end of the season with Julian Alvarez coming in. Dunno if it's just baloney or not but that's doing the rounds anyway.

Would be surprised if they could shift Gyokeres, a striker should definitely be signed this summer but I'd imagine as a replacement for Jesus who will be moved on.

Not exactly surprising but the Havertz non penalty against Everton is now officially a VAR error.

Gyokeres with two goals for Sweden so far in Valencia. Ukraine 0 Sweden 2

Hat trick for Gyok. Norgaard scored for Denmark

Got my tickets for Arsenal Vs Betis this morning too.

I see on the Ticket Master website that Block 129 is for Betis fans, is that all that is assigned to Betis? Seems very small in terms of numbers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,155 ✭✭✭✭salmocab

I’d imagine that’s very much aimed at Spanish nationals living here. Not the sort of fixture many would travel for

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,696 ✭✭✭Royale with Cheese

Might see what availability is like just before the match, maybe can pick something up on resale. Just not arsed paying €80+ to see a preseason friendly. Tickets in the lower tier around halfway are over €200 each, go and shíte.

I looked myself and for that money I can get to a match at the emirates with the young lad I reckon

Madueke off injured for England tonight after 35 minutes. Was clattered in a tackle but not sure what the injury is!
