Not sure about a cheque, u would be better off doing by bank transfer as a cheque can take 3 to 5 working days to clear in your bank account, bank transfer only take a couple of days

🙄 It is not for me to dictate how the client wishes to receive their refund.

Yes, i was just pointing out the difference between getting the refund through bank transfer and cheque, i said 3 to 5 working days, between all it's like 6 working days. I lodged a cheque on the Tuesday the 10th of March via a ATM, it was not cleared in amy account till March 18th.

Yeah it seems if you follow up on it, it moves it quicker. I'm going to leave it and see how long it actually takes without poking.

I did an income tax return for my father who is 90yrs old on Feb 12th, only source of imcome is his pension and state pension, only expenses are medical and nursing home. I created an enquiry on March 23rd, still no response. If I try to ring at 9:30:01am it says we are busy & no option to stay in a queue. Always found Revenue really efficient so this is a new one for me. Will try ring them again tomorrow:)
