Laptop Recommendation for Internet Browsing / Netflix etc

Laptop has dies a death and need to replace.

I have no idea what I need to look for.

Just needed for internet browsing, streaming etc.

Any recs on actual laptops or what I should be looking for please?

I should have said re streaming - just watching the likes of movies, football matches online etc

13" will be too small unfortunately. I should have said 15" or bigger would be best.

Pretty much anything reasonably decent should work well for such basic needs. Just make sure you'll get at least 5 years out of it, and it's got good battery life (the whole point of a laptop). Hit the €500 ish mark and you really won't go wrong.

Do I need 16GB - was reading for live streaming thats what Id need.

I feel you'd get by with 8gb right now, but to survive the requirements of OS upgrades over the next few years going with 16gb is probably wiser, if you can afford it.

I'm totally out of touch with processors these days, so I'm not in a good position to advise there.

I'm curretly looking at Cromebooks, 15.6 as well.

This one looks like it will do the trick for me, it's €399 in Currys Irl but £279 in NI.

Thinking a laptop over a Chromebook might be a better option 'just in case'…. for downloading movies etc etc
Also, have been 'stung' by Currys before and wont go near them for anything.

I dont mind spending a little extra for the 16gb if thats the better option and means itll last a bit longer.
