The argument holds up because trump is lying about the Iranian military and pretty much everything else the administration is in the process of botching up.

Trump will think of “something”- remember, a US court ruled that what an American president does when holding office can’t be prosecuted after the effect -he’s protected by US law- and anyway, he’ll just fake dementia given he’s 80 years old- this fcker has nothing to lose- that’s the most dangerous person you could have in the whitehouse right now

I'd be very worried about Trump's replacement being from within the Admin team, should he retire and his replacement be minded like some of the bible-thumpers there-in. Having watched a video of the young adult and children families in the U.S of a very strong Christian ethos [not necessarily of the basic kind in Ireland] being of the kind that the wife MUST obey the husband and that she will have no vote in political elections, I'd be very worried if I was a member of a non-Christian religious faith, belief or creed when the senior members of the Administration are mouthing lines similar to those of ultra-Christians.

The now regular laying-on of hands on Trump's head in the Oval Office by the Ultra-believers may be a bad omen to those in his family of non-Christian faith, let alone those who decidedly oppose the GOP creed. Being linked to the Trump family through marriage is no guarantee that one will not be thrown under the bus by him.

They did not quite say this, they said acts committed as part of his official duties can not be prosecuted. Though obviously a war counts as that.

Listen, Trump will have an argument to say that playing golf every weekend is part of his official duties- and the courts will probably agree.

Fake dementia? It seems pretty clear that he's already suffering from the real deal.

Tacos for dinner again tonight, im getting bored with them!

Yea, hear ye, hear ye: He who must be obeyed has announced the cancellation of any bombing runs of Irans power plants so talks can take place.

I am more and more minded to see all his flip-flopping on Iran as being similar to his TACO-ing on tariffs against countries around the world. He sees it akin to a trade dispute solvable by making threats and then cancelling them and claiming he has beaten the Iranians again. Its all in his mind, not the mindset of a normal adult or the usual way adults deal with each other on disputes.

    MAGA rule 101

    1) approach something that should be left alone ✅

    2) announce that they have to fix this✅

    3) f**k matters up which weren't f**ked up before✅

    4) blaim Obama/Biden✅

    5) desperately flail around ✅

    6) announce the deal which will inevitably be either the same that was on the table before, or worse.

    7) say that Obama and Biden couldn't have done achieved such a great deal

    8) claim victory

    We are at stage 5...

Elect a clown... Expect a circus

It’s probably the one time I’m relieved to see TACO tbh- the alternative wasn’t a particularly promising route to take

Yeah, Taco is the only possible good outcome for this.

Just to point out that that is the re-posted version. The original one had him write 'WITCH WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THE WEEK'

are they even in negotiations with Iran?

I’ll wait to see what Iran say. They’re the more trustworthy of the two. 🥴

I think mean the most trustworthy of the THREE parties right 😕 …Smells like market manipulation. Gotta get in there before trading starts on Wall Street on Monday right 🙄.

    Yes is the short answer.

There is no ruling that actions so far are illegal under US law though. The Executive is generally given wide latitude on this. But I suspect the response would be that if it was deemed illegal the "correct" response is deemed impeachment and not criminal action. Control of the Armed Forces very much falls inside his official duties.

Israel is the problem, they don’t want any ceasefire , they want to keep killing people all over the Middle East …Israel is the problem

I'm not sure it is in this case (for sure they were the problem why it kicked off again); if the USA pulled back Israel would continue yes but they would be focused on Lebanon more than anything else would be my guess. Sure; they might bomb the odd leader in Iran but they will want to go after more local targets instead of risking mass bombing in Iran (esp. with what's left). Iran on the other hand will be happy enough to have their proxies attacked instead of themselves to let them rebuild internally. The only dangerous part would be if Israel decides to bomb more oil/gas/power etc. in Iran even as USA told them not to do that.

They've backed down, thankfully. Surely because of the markets, not due to any humanitarian considerations

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,036 ✭✭✭rogber

This is 1000 percent true, Bibi wants endless war, even his allies admit as much

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,539 ✭✭✭✭rob316

There isn't any talks with Iran, he completely underestimated Iran and they have backed him into a corner and he is trying to save face by saying Iran want to deal.

So “5 days”-.markets close for the weekend in 5 days time - so expect bombings of Iranian targets Friday night/early Saturday morning

As usual the real powers that be, the market makers told trump to taco once again. Happened last year shortly after his initial tariffs and again now just before markets open. They took one look at futures and told him

He was obviously told that the bond markets would go into meltdown if he followed through so he bottled it as usual.

Iran is a despot regime but they are playing a blinder on their side. Showing Trump up badly and being brazen enough to announce it. Trump will be sick as he knows everyone can see in plain sight how weak he is.
