Great performance by Hunter-Bell. Its amazing the way she has come on really.

Haylom set them up for their NR with them all chasing her down.

Cooper Lutkenhaus does it! World Indoor Championship, 17 years old

It feels like, whenever a top level Irish athlete comes on the scene, a global phenomenon has a habit of emerging in the same event right around the same time as them.

Well done to Hunter Bell, and good going from Hull to medal after running a 3k just last night. Haylom can run seriously fast times yet has no clue how to run at a major championship.

Keely's to lose in the 800. I really liked the look of Wiley in the SF, I'm wondering if she can get on the podium.

That final was disappointing, great run from Hodgkinson though. I think the thoughts of Bol coming into the 800m actually brought Hodgkinson on a bit this season.

Second fastest indoor time ever and looked so relaxed doing it, wow. Smart racing from Werro not to go with her, and gets a silver and NR for her efforts. I think she can possibly run 1:54 this year. Great medal from Wiley too.

Three golds for Britain inside an hour!

The BBC are saying that Keely is apparently running the 4x400m relay at 7.47 pm, wow.

Great PB from K O'C, nothing between the 3 medals.

Another major medal for O'Connor. A PB and some room for improvement too. Not to mention that her strongest heptathlon event isn't in the Pentathlon. Hopefully she can stay injury free, because she'll lbe very close to European gold later in the year if she does.

Katie is a real baller when the pressureis on. Her 1.81 high jump was 3rd attempt, long jump best was last attempt and then a PB in the 800m.

She sounds disappointed. Probably, in her mind, she has missed a really good chance to win gold.

She went all out to try and stay ahead of Hall in the 800m and very nearly managed it. The Pole fell away badly in the evening session, so in the end she was third by a very comfortable margin (over 200 points). So, in a way, some of her big moments, like the 1.81m clearance in the high jump at the third attempt, didn't actually count for anything in the end. But she wasn't to know that would be the case at the time.

Sounds like she's going to do the Commonwealth Games as a warm up for the Europeans. It's an opportunity to win a gold medal, but the Commonwealth Games aren't what they once were and she only really qualifies for the north by accident of birth anyway. European Championships will be the main focus.

Keely ran the fastest split of the 4x400m - 50.10s! An hour after a flat out 800m, astounding.

Next fastest was Effiong at 50.83. Albeit Keely had a clear run at it and didn't have to negotiate any traffic.

Unreal! They were sunk from the outset after the terrible opening leg, but definitely hope we'll be seeing her in the relay again.

London's bid for Worlds 2029 potentially facing a roadblock as West Ham don't want the stadium to be used whilst the football season is in progress.

Hopefully it'll be sorted out, though a Worlds in Rome also sounds pretty great too. Nairobi surely isn't going to happen.

Josh Kerr has the world titles and Olympic medals. Now, he’s ready to etch his name in the history books alongside one of the most storied world records in track and field: the mile.On July 18 at the London Diamond League meeting, the Scotsman will chase the 3:43.13 world record for the full mile, set by Hicham El Guerrouj of Morocco at the 1999 Golden Gala in Rome, Italy.“It’s one of the most important track and field records of all time right now,” Kerr told Runner’s World. “I’m not trying to do this quietly, because I think it deserves more respect than that. I’m at a point in my career where I have some great medals, I’m able to show up consistently when I need to, and I have amazing coaching staff and people around me that I think we can get pretty damn close if we’re not going to be getting it.”
