What To Do With These Pots?

My mother planted a load of pots with random Lidl stuff on my deck last year and they were lovely all Summer but looking very rough now, can I just cut them off to an inch or two height and they'll regrow a bit fresher looking?

Can I leave them as they are and they;ll revive? Should I add some kind of feed? Im a total novice.

Ignore the horrible decking and weeds, thats getting sorted tomorrow:

Cut back any obviously dead material for a start. You could give them a general plant feed if you wish. You'll get something again this year but maybe not the full selection you had last year.

Is the pink one a wallflower? Its in flower now so if you cut off those flowers it could well be that you won't get any more. It will probably flower again next year but it will need cutting back, wallflowers can be a bit hit and miss though.

Those flowers are from last year. Survived the whole Winter and had a couple of bees on them on New Years Day.

They are everlasting wallflowers and they do live up to their name. Yes trim off the spent flowerheads back to the top of the leaves and a sprinkle of granular fertilizer.

I actually got a cornflakes sized box of the granular feed from the same brand for a fiver just there so Ill go with that thanks, says its good for roses aswell so Ill do them aswell while Im at it thanks.
